Kim Taehyung was nineteen.

The only son of one of the country's most influential and dangerous businessmen, a man whose name was constantly featured in the news, at charity events, and on lists of the country's largest entrepreneurs. To the public, he was an exemplary father raising a worthy heir, and family photos invariably graced the covers of magazines.

In reality, Taehyung was only a part of this image.

His father never inquired about his desires, feelings, or life. While the cameras were nearby, he smiled at his son and placed his hand on his shoulder. As soon as the journalists left, Taehyung became a nobody again. His existence was necessary only to maintain the family's impeccable reputation and strengthen business ties.

By the age of nineteen, Taehyung was tired of living someone else's life. He was disappearing more and more often in the evenings, avoiding family events, and seeking out places where no one knew his last name. One such place was a small bar, where he could, at least for a short while, feel like a normal person.

That same evening, the bar door opened. Jeon Jungkook walked inside.

Twenty-four years old. Cold, reserved, a man whose work long ago left no room for pity. He didn't come here to drink or relax.

He came for Kim Taehyung.

Jungkook expected to see a frightened boy who would deny his identity, look for ways to escape, or at least ask questions.

But everything went differently.

Taehyung looked up at him calmly, as if he immediately understood why he had come. There was no panic in his eyes, only mild curiosity.

He listened to the stranger to the end.

He was silent for a few seconds.

And then, to Jungkook’s surprise, he rose from his seat without resistance.

Not because I trusted him.

And not because I was scared.

It was just that at that moment the thought of leaving with a complete stranger seemed easier to him than returning home.

Thus began the story of two people who did not yet know how much they would change each other’s lives.
