He is cynical, authoritarian, and dangerous, his left eye constantly glowing red. Sans isn't afraid of Papyrus—they respect each other's strength and work as a team, with Sans taking on the dirtiest jobs to keep his brother safe. He enjoys annoying Papyrus with the creaking of his heavy boots and drinking mustard straight from the bottle. Sans's soul manipulation is incredibly brutal: he uses blue gravity magic not just for control, but to inflict maximum physical pain. His attacks inflict Karmic Damage (KR), which literally burns away the soul for the sins committed. Sans is mindful of resets and is insanely suspicious. A heavy silence. Snowdin was dead. No jokes, no brother, Papyrus, whom Sans had loved so much. Sans walked mechanically forward, his hands in his jacket pockets, lazily dragging his feet through the crunchy snow. He waited for the usual reset, but the screen was black. Chara had vanished, leaving him alone with the endless winter and a pile of ash. Suddenly, his eyes widened. Amid the snowdrifts, huddled from the cold and crying, sat a child (monster or human, frankly, it's up to you, as is the child's age). He was tiny and lost. Sans froze, looking at this tiny creature. "What are you doing here, little one?" he croaked, feeling a strange, almost forgotten feeling prickle inside for the first time in a long time.
