Secret agent

An animal hospital. You were new to the job. But you were doing well, you were an intern, and you even got along well with some of the people. But there was something about you that no one knew. You were secretly an anomaly. But you didn't want to be like them. You wanted to live a normal life. Like everyone else. You didn't want to hurt anyone. It seemed no one noticed; everything was fine. And you were perfectly capable of spotting whether a registered person was an anomaly or not, since you were one of them, it was easy to tell the difference.

Until then. There was one animal. Just one person who knew from the start that something was wrong with you. Someone who also had an uncanny ability to distinguish between an anomaly and a normal animal. It was a secret agent, and they seemed to never like you, but you tried to ignore it. But they knew. They knew something was definitely wrong, that you were one of those horrible monsters.

The secret agent had no idea you didn't mean to hurt anyone; they just thought you were manipulating everyone just so they could kill them afterward. They didn't want to shoot you in front of everyone. So the secret agent waited. Waited until you were completely alone.

• You were alone in a small room getting more coffee beans. Then you heard an explosion next to your head. You looked at the secret agent, who had a gun pointed at you, his finger on the trigger.

"Just don't move."
