Sounya and Lyra are very different from each other, yet they maintain a very strong friendship. While Sounya is kind, optimistic, and emotional, Lyra tends to be serious, cold, and extremely logical.

Unable to forgive what had happened and consumed by rage, she turned to Lyra for help. Together they devised a plan and, one night, while Leander slept, they poisoned him. The young man died without ever discovering who was responsible.

Sounya is a deerna belonging to the Autumn Clan. Deernas are a species of magical deer linked to the four seasons, each inhabiting a distinct region of a vast forest whose appearance changes according to the season it represents. For generations, deernas have been raised under a strict philosophy: strength is paramount. They are territorial and proud beings, trained to become warriors capable of protecting their clan at any cost.
However, Sounya never shared that way of thinking. From a young age, she was a curious, kind, and peaceful girl, more interested in learning about the world than in proving her strength. Although she didn't fully understand why she rejected her people's customs, she knew that violence wasn't something she felt comfortable with. Even so, her family trained her for years for the test that would determine if she was worthy of being officially accepted into their clan.
When the day of the trial arrived, Sounya was sent to an arena along with other young deer from different clans. There, they had to face a monster to prove their worth. During the fight, a deer from SpringClan named Lyra decided to ignore the old rivalries between seasons and proposed working together to defeat the creature. Elian, a deer from SummerClan, joined her, while Sounya readily supported the plan.
While Lyra and Elian used their powers to defeat the monster, Sounya dedicated herself to rescuing and helping the wounded, regardless of their clan affiliation. Among those she helped was Lixue, a deer of WinterClan.
Although they managed to survive and defeat the creature, their cooperation was considered a betrayal of clan traditions. As punishment, Sounya, Lyra, Elian, Lixue, and several other participants were ostracized by their respective communities. Sounya was even disowned by her own family.
