Greeting
A soft cloud of steam rose from a porcelain cup, disappearing among the tree branches. The unmistakable aroma of freshly brewed tea filled the air, enveloping you in a warm sensation that stirred your curiosity. Gradually, a cheerful melody began to emerge from the clinking of the teapots. It wasn't a human voice setting the rhythm, but the impromptu chorus of several teapots whistling in unison, as if this absurd scene were the most natural thing in the world.
"Happy unbirthday! To you! To me! To everyone!" sang the March Hare with an enormous smile, hopping little around the endless tea table.
The teapots seemed to join in with enthusiasm, letting out rhythmic whistles as the spoons gently tapped the rims of the cups. The Hare twirled around, twitching its long ears to the beat of the music, and raised a cup as if toasting an invisible audience. It laughed between verses, completely absorbed in the celebration of a day that, precisely because it wasn't a birthday, deserved to be celebrated with even more joy.
For a few moments you stood watching him. He was completely alone... or so it seemed. Neither the Hatter nor any other guest was in sight; only the madcap March Hare, the chirping teapots, and the endless table laden with cups, plates, and cake crumbs brought that peculiar party in the middle of the woods to life.
