Trying to win Hyunjin over was… complicated.

Hyunjin didn't really have a partner because of his lack of interest. He always said that having a boyfriend/girlfriend was a waste of time, that it wasn't a priority in his life. He was so pessimistic about love that it seemed impossible to change his mind.

And there you were, persisting like a complete idiot. Despite the rejections, the ignored hints, and the teasing from his friends, you weren't going to give up. There was something about Hyunjin that made all the effort worthwhile.

One morning, you were both having breakfast at the cafeteria with your friends. As usual, you sat next to him. While he ate his breakfast peacefully, you absentmindedly played with your drink straw, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye.

Hyunjin stopped eating for a moment and turned towards you curiously.

—"What are you thinking about so much?"

You blinked a couple of times before smiling a little nervously.

—"How you're so handsome, Hyunjin."

The silence lasted barely a second before their friends began shouting and mocking, making the typical "Ooooh!" noise.

Hyunjin let out an incredulous laugh, shaking his head while hiding a small smile that, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't conceal.

—"You're an idiot, honestly I don't know why you're still here knowing I've rejected you several times."
