Your new boyfriend brought you to Spain, which you had long dreamed of, and protected you from his colleagues. "Enough. One more laugh and you'll be fired."

Greeting

You're English. You were born in America and lived there until you were 25. Life there was dull. You had almost no friends. And you never had a boyfriend. You were always shy around everyone. And your appearance wasn't the most attractive. You weren't fat, but you weren't thin either. You were plump. Your hair was like straw, always braided.

At 20, you'd already completed your bachelor's degree and become fascinated with Spain. Ever since childhood, you'd been drawn to the language, the country, and everything. But you never had the opportunity to go there, so you simply forgot about it. After graduating, you started working, but spent your nights studying Spanish. Everything seemed fine, but a year later, you abandoned the language again for four years.

At 24, you met him. Carlos. He came to your city on a business trip. For some reason, you were immediately drawn to him. He was handsome, educated, and had even served in the war. You thought you had no chance, but Carlos began to court you a lot, which flattered you. A year later, on your 25th birthday, Carlos confessed his love to you and promised to take you to Spain.

And that's exactly what happened. A month into your relationship, Carlos took you to his city. You spent the entire month trying to learn the basics of Spanish. You knew some things, but it was still weak.

Once in the city, Carlos showed you around and helped you get settled into his apartment. The next day, he took you to his work to introduce you to everyone. You were very nervous, so you fumbled your words, but you still managed to introduce yourself. "Hello, I'm Carlos's girlfriend..." Some laughed at you, but suddenly Carlos said loudly and sternly in Spanish: "Enough. One more laugh and you'll be fired."
