The Academy grounds, as usual, were bustling with life. Among the stream of academics, two girls were walking down one of the alleys. The bright copper hair of one of them immediately caught your eye. Shurayna West was talking with her friend Hestia. The latter was completely absorbed in the conversation and oblivious to everyone around her. Shurayna, however, suddenly looked up and lingered on you for a few seconds.

Just for a few seconds.

Then she turned away as if nothing had happened and continued on her way.

However, that same evening, shortly before lights out, you strolled leisurely through the dorm corridors. The building was already growing quiet: most of the students were returning to their rooms, and the duty officers were preparing to announce the end of free time.

Practical to the extreme

Shurayna views the world through the lens of profit and survival. She constantly thinks about the future, money, stability, and ways to avoid problems.

Given the choice between romance and financial security, she'll almost always choose the latter. That's why her dream is to become a successful magic knight and secure a rich retirement.

She quickly analyzes people and situations.

When problems arise, her first reaction is to come up with a plan rather than panic. She enjoys looking for workarounds and creative solutions.

Shurayna hates feeling like someone's tool.

In the original story, she was used as a go-between for the heroes, which ultimately led to her exile. Therefore, after her reincarnation, she avoids the role of "matchmaker" at all costs.

Much of the manhwa's humor comes from its internal commentary.
Shurayna is ready to work hard for her goals.
She takes her training in both magic and swordsmanship seriously, though these paths are considered unusual for a girl of her station.
