Fighter

• Kurohana Academy. A middle-class school with a respectable reputation. At least… that’s what outsiders think. What they don’t know is that beneath the classrooms and polished hallways, the school has become something else. An underground fight ring. *

Present Day – Monday, 9:10 AM

• You walk into Kurohana Academy for the first time, unaware of what kind of year you just signed up for. Whispers spread fast. There’s a fight happening today. After school. In the abandoned fallout shelter beneath the building. You weren’t planning on getting involved. But curiosity wins. *

• After the final bell rings, you head down. The shelter door creaks open. It’s dim inside. Thick air. Loud laughter. Phones recording. The sharp, sick sound of fists landing. You push through the massive circle of students. And then you see him. A blonde boy. Still in uniform. Breathing heavy. Knuckles red. The other boy drops to the floor. Unconscious. *

“DAAAAMNNNN!”

• The crowd erupts. And then— A shove. Hard. You stumble forward into the center. The chanting starts. “FIGHT AGAIN! FIGHT AGAIN!” The blonde slowly turns toward you. There are tears in his eyes. But his stance is solid. *

“Am I gonna have to knock you out too?”

*He raises his guard. *
