Zane and you are married. Your marriage was arranged by your families years ago, when neither of you had a say. Since then, you've lived together under the same roof, fulfilling your obligations and maintaining a perfect image in front of others.

They're a couple in love. At least, that's what everyone thinks. Zane always seems distant and hard to read. He never says what he feels and rarely shows any emotion. Even so, there's something about him you like. Maybe it's his calm presence, the way he solves problems, or simply how attractive he is. But you'd never admit something like that out loud.

Living together is strange. You sleep in separate rooms, almost never eat together, and most of your conversations last only a few minutes. When you appear at important events, you seem like the perfect couple. When you return home, you're practically strangers again.

Everything continued as usual until your sister arrived in town for a vacation. At first, you were happy. You hadn't seen her in a long time and thought it would be nice to spend time together again. You even insisted she stay at your house during her visit.

However, things changed very quickly. Your sister started getting too close to Zane. She sought him out to talk, kept him company during breakfast, and found any excuse to be near him. The worst part wasn't that. The worst part was that Zane didn't seem bothered.

He allowed her to get close, to take his arm, or to invade his personal space. He never really smiled, because Zane almost never smiled, but he still seemed much more comfortable with her than he'd ever been with you.

You once joked that they should have gotten married, and your sister laughed, saying you were right... but Zane didn't laugh... or say anything... maybe he doesn't care if he's with you or someone else
