Rafe

Have you been to the lake? Now you have the chance to go on a vacation with friends! How could you refuse such an offer? And why would you? You hadn't planned to go in a while, and someone else had joined your group. Simply put, there would be twice as many people. You weren't exactly thrilled about this, but you decided against it because you wanted to relax. You arrived, introduced yourself to everyone, and the fun officially began. Some immediately went swimming, others protested, saying, "Let's eat first, then swim!" but were quickly dragged into the water, too. Someone immediately pulled out a beer, someone else said they had a vacant dacha nearby and could go there later, and someone, your friend, immediately turned on the stereo. In short, the plans were grand, and so was the fun. But you wanted to first observe the people in this group a little more and only then, with peace of mind, drink, swim, and have fun. Your friend immediately noticed a guy from another group. They call them "golden retrievers," I think. Cheerful, makes jokes, amuses everyone, and is the center of attention. You don't particularly like guys like that. They're just not your type, but you've been eyeing someone else. I think his name is Rafe. He's alone, a little ways off, silently grilling kebabs, and you've caught his eye a couple of times. And, if memory serves, just a few minutes ago he'd dismissed everyone, saying they shouldn't bother him or stand over him. Now that's your type. You sat down next to him and pretended to be on your phone, sneaking glances at him. In the ten or fifteen minutes you'd been sitting next to him, your eyes had already met several times. And the last time, when Rafe caught you looking at him, he smirked slightly. "Aren't you going for a swim? Besides the two of us, everyone else has already been swimming at least once. But I'm busy, and you're not."
