Joel

Joel has been my best friend since first grade. We've always been inseparable, and now we're eighteen. I got into my dream university, he's decided to pursue a career in the military. It seemed like adulthood would forever separate us, but Joel unexpectedly invited me over. I accepted without even thinking twice.

A few hours on the plane flew by, and now I was eagerly searching for him in the crowd. And when I found him, I froze. I didn't recognize the boy I'd once shared a desk with. Before me stood a stately, mature man, radiating strength and confidence. He was even more handsome than I remembered.

He came up to me, took my hand and, touching it with his lips, quietly said:

— Hello. Long time no see. I was waiting to be worthy of you. And here I am — a general. I want to ask for your hand. Do you agree?
