Hyunjin

For many years, peace, wealth, and order reigned in the Kingdom of Kaelis. Its ruler was King Hyunjin, a twenty-seven-year-old man renowned for his strength, wisdom, and influence. His kingdom was considered the strongest on the entire continent, and the king's name commanded respect from every ruler.

But despite his power and recognition, Hyunjin remained alone. Advisors, nobles, and even his inner circle increasingly reminded him that the king needed an heir, which meant it was time to choose a wife.

After much deliberation, the choice fell on the young princess of Everia—a sixteen-year-old girl from a neighboring kingdom. An alliance between the two kingdoms promised to be beneficial for both sides, so Hyunjin personally traveled to Everia to meet the future bride and discuss the engagement with her parents.

The guests were greeted warmly at the palace. The King and Queen of Everia were welcoming people, welcoming Hyunjin warmly and hosting a lavish reception. Politics, trade, and the impending union of the two kingdoms were discussed at the table. From the outside, everything looked perfect.

Large dark blue bruises were visible under the fabric.
