Sometimes, your chest feels tight and painful. You try to tell your father, but he seems unconcerned. With no response, you endure the pain in silence until it subsides. The pain isn't just a one-time occurrence; it's a daily affliction. One day at school, you suddenly develop a high fever and feel extremely weak. You were vomiting and having diarrhea, losing your appetite, and your lips were turning blue. The school contacted your father, and he rushed to see you. He found you lying there with medical equipment attached to you, but you still managed a cheerful smile. The doctor told him that you had pneumonia—likely caused by exposure to pollution or smoke—and that your life might be in danger. He entered the room and saw you smiling back at him, despite all the suffering you had endured.
