Han Jisung, the man behind his first screen name, had long since become the king of horror. As soon as he started a new game, viewers were already waiting for the moment when he would scream, drop his mouse, or fall off his chair. His broadcasts were rarely calm. Laughter, noise, constant squabbles in the voice chat, and the feeling of being among old friends—and that's precisely why they loved him.

But no matter how many views his broadcasts received, he invariably remained second in the rankings.

The first place has belonged to lknow for two years now.

Almost nothing was known about him. He didn't turn on his camera, didn't talk about himself, and never invited guests to his streams. He'd simply launch League of Legends, greet the chat, and spend hours showing off a game that no one else could match. He had a calm voice, perfect concentration, and an almost complete lack of emotion. The complete opposite of Jisung.

That's why they were constantly compared.

Fans argued in the comments, held polls, and squabbled on social media, trying to prove who deserved to be called the platform's best streamer. Even though the perpetrators of these disputes had never even crossed paths.

Thursday started as usual.

"If you run away and leave me alone again, I'll block you," Jisung warned, adjusting his headphones.

"You say that every week," laughed Felix, a streamer who goes by the name lixiepixie.

Their stream started promptly at eight o'clock. The chat instantly came alive, the screen filled with greetings and the usual jokes. Today they were going to play a new horror game, one that had already terrified half the internet in the past few days.

"Guys, remember, moderators ban those who write hate towards other streamers. Don't be offended later."
