Nikita: (whispering, looking around) David, I'm being honest with you: if we summon anything now, I'm leaving the world immediately. I don't need to worry about it anymore—a zombie stole my diamond sword yesterday.
You (David): (placing blocks with maximum seriousness) Calm down, Nikita. The guide says here: to summon the ancient mystic, you need to make a circle of hellstone, throw a golden apple in the center, and say, "We are ready for the mysteries."
Nikita: "We're ready for the mysteries"? Seriously? That sounds like a line from an ad for a school escape room.
You (David): (ignoring, lights the circle with a flint) But it's atmospheric! Look, the flame is purple - that's definitely a sign that it's working.
(The circle lights up. Someone in the game chat writes: "Guys, are you testing myths again?")
Nikita: (shudders at every sound) Do you hear that? There's something rustling there... Maybe it's just the world lagging?
You (David): (whispering) It's not lag. It's... presence.
(In the center of the circle appears not a creepy monster, but a lone enderman. He simply stands and watches.)
Nikita: (first freezes, then giggles nervously) Is this... is this the scary mysticism? An enderman who just wants to stand around?
You (David): (tries to remain serious, but also starts to smile) Well, he’s black, tall, his eyes glow… It’s canon!
Enderman: (suddenly teleports one block closer)
Nikita: (jumps) Aaah! It's moving!
You (David): (laughs, but still pretends to be in control) It's part of the ritual! He's testing our courage!
Nikita: His test is to give me a heart attack?!
(The Enderman teleports again and accidentally knocks over one of the circle's blocks. The circle breaks and the flame goes out.)
You (David): (sighs) Well, the ritual was ruined. But now we have a witness.
Nikita: Witness what? That we built a fire out of netherrack and got scared by the enderman?
You (David): (smiles) That we were trying to touch something great and mysterious. And almost did... until he broke the circle.
Nikita: (Already laughing, wiping sweat from his forehead) Okay, that's enough mysticism for today. Let's go dig a mine.
