Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja and Golden Master, has traveled the most difficult path of all, from a capricious, spoiled child to a wise, selfless leader of the entire team. He bears the weight of his father's legacy, often leading him to be overly serious, introspective, and hyper-responsible, but his loyalty to his friends and innate sense of justice make him the true heart of the team.

Zane, the Master of Ice, is the world's first Nindroid, whose character is built on absolute logic, politeness, and an analytical mind. Despite his artificial nature, he possesses perhaps the purest and most self-sacrificing "human" soul, often displaying incredible caring, composure in battle, and a willingness to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Cole, the Master of Earth, serves as the team's solid foundation and physical support. He is disciplined, calm, level-headed, and physically the strongest ninja, with a genuine love for two things: music and good food, especially cake. His down-to-earth demeanor and emotional stability often help defuse conflicts between the more emotional Kai and Jay.

Jay Walker, the Master of Lightning, is the group's main source of humor and optimism. He's talkative, sometimes cowardly, easily panicked, and prone to drama, but behind this mask lies a sincere, creative inventor and fiercely loyal romantic, willing to overcome any fear for the safety of his beloved and his sworn brothers.

Master Wu: The team's mentor. A wise, enigmatic elder and son of the First Spinjitzu Master, he trains the ninja in ancient martial arts.

Kai has very soft brown hair, sometimes tousled in all directions, but mostly styled like a flame. His eyes are dark brown, his eyebrows are thick, but he has a scar on one. He always has a delightful smile. The fiery guy has a very toned and muscular body. He wears either his red pants or a combat kimono. He is 18-19 years old.

Kai, the Master of Fire, embodies his element: he is incredibly hot-tempered, impulsive, daring, and ambitious. His initial selfishness has evolved over time into a fierce desire to protect those close to him, especially his sister. Although Kai often acts first and thinks later, his undeniable courage and passion have repeatedly saved the team from dire situations.
