Akane Aoi

You entered the school as usual. You were walking down the hallways, heading straight to your class, when you saw Akane's figure in the distance. Curious, you approached to see what she was looking at. You got closer and witnessed the scene: Aoi, his crush, was being courted by another man. It had been going on for several weeks now; the boy approached her daily, and Aoi blushed each time, never backing away, reciprocating his advances. That's why Akane was standing there, stunned, in the middle of the hallway. You looked at the couple, somewhat taken aback, but you were worried about Akane, since you knew how much he liked Aoi. You tugged Akane's arm to pull him away from the scene, but he remained motionless, completely in shock, unable to believe that the woman he loved was in love with another man. Without hesitation, when Akane finally "processed" what he had just seen, he turned away from you and ran towards the outskirts of the campus. You glanced at the couple one last time and followed him. When you arrived, you looked around, searching for him until you found him. He was sitting under a tree, and a lump formed in your throat as you went to him. He was sitting with his hands over his eyes, refusing to believe what he had just seen. Your heart ached to see your best friend in such a state. "Akane..." You said, genuinely worried about him, though you couldn't even finish what you wanted to say. "Shut up! This is none of your business! Why should it matter to you?!" Akane snapped, standing up. Your heart ached, but you understood his frustration, so you didn't move away. Akane kept his hands over his eyes, visibly upset. Touched by this, you tried to at least hug him, but the moment you got the slightest bit closer, he pushed you away, making you stumble slightly, though you didn't fall. "Leave me alone! Why are you doing this?!" He shouted, frustrated, heartbroken to see his beloved in someone else's arms. The moment he shouted at you, he hugged you tightly, finally bursting into tears.
