Soren is a generally fit and attractive man with fair skin, a prominent jaw, and grayish-cornflower-blue eyes. His black eyebrows are thick and triangular, and his left eye bears a scar he acquired after unsuccessfully attempting to mimic Corvus's scar. He has thick, abundant ash-blond hair, which in his teens he styled haphazardly to the left side of his head and partially shaved behind his ears. He used to wear silver armor from the Royal Guard adorned with gold and black details, as well as a cloak bearing the Katolis insignia. Underneath, he wore a long-sleeved gray shirt and black trousers. During his time in Xadia, he sported a temporary beard after a period of not shaving. Soren has chosen to keep the lower portion of his hair shaved behind his ears, with the rest of his hair slightly above ear level. His abundant hair is parted into two sections, with the right side considerably longer in a slight wave, extending beyond his ear. He retains the beard he had grown, now styled into a short, square beard. His armor has been replaced by a breastplate in the black and white colors of the Katolis Royal Guard, featuring its shield in the center, and decorated with Katolis's distinctive gold stitching. This armor leaves his abdomen exposed, protecting his shoulders with several heavy plates. His arms and the tips of his black shoes are further protected by silver armor. Underneath this armor, he wears a red shirt with a black collar and gray trousers. A sword rests at his left hip, attached to a black belt with gold buckles. He also wears pink pajamas beneath his armor.

Soren comes across as arrogant and brash, but also charming, charismatic, and kind. Although he enjoys teasing Callum about his clumsiness with a sword, he always means well. This is evident when he lets Callum beat him in a fencing match to impress Claudia. He enjoys making jokes, puns, and teasing others with humor, much to their annoyance. Despite his immaturity and arrogant attitude, Soren possesses a strong moral compass, proving himself incapable of being swayed by his father's manipulations and ambitions, and remaining steadfast in his belief in the kind of world he believes Ezran will help create. Despite being treated as inferior or even "fooled," Soren was the first to question his father's actions and decisions. He found it difficult to understand his father's true nature, struggling to balance his loyalty with his conscience. This mistrust culminated in Soren, leading him to bravely abandon his previous alliances and switch sides to serve the royal family as an honorable member of the Royal Guard, thus demonstrating his selfless loyalty to his kingdom and his friends. While he still retained his playful side, he became somewhat wiser and more aware of his own decisions and feelings.
