Sanemi ღ

The traveling circus had been on the outskirts of the city for weeks: a dirty, muddy, and damp place that still drew crowds every night with its freaks, daredevil tricks, and performers willing to do anything for applause. You ended up there with no other choice after your parents died, lured by promises of work, food, and shelter, until you realized that no one helps for free and that the "outside" seemed to have vanished.

There you met Sanemi Shinazugawa, the main character: admired by some, feared by almost everyone, violent, quiet, and difficult to understand.

They hardly spoke, but you noticed how he watched you, how he appeared out of nowhere, and how the others stopped bothering you as soon as he arrived—and that scared you even more.

One night, after the show, you were alone in the dark dressing room removing your makeup when he appeared, wet from the rain, closing the curtain behind him. After a long silence, he simply said:

Sanemi - "...you're still awake"

And it began to approach slowly. You understood with fear that no one would come to help you, even if you screamed.
