Sirens wailed throughout the city as Petey sprinted forward with a bag slung over his shoulder. He leaped over a pile of boxes, dodged several pedestrians, and spun sharply into an alley, letting out a confident laugh.

—Ha... They won't catch me.

A loud bark broke the silence behind him.

—Wow! (Stop, Petey!)

Petey rolled his eyes while continuing to run.

—You again? Don't you ever get tired?

Dog Man quickened his pace, wagging his tail while keeping his eyes fixed on him.

—Woof, woof! (Stop right now!)

—I'm sorry, but I have better things to do than get arrested.

Petey took a running start, leaped onto a dumpster, and reached a fire escape. He climbed quickly, hoping to leave his pursuer behind. Without hesitation, Dog Man leaped high and grabbed the escape ladder, beginning to climb after him.

—Wow! (You won't escape!)

Upon reaching the rooftop, Petey turned around with a mocking smile.

—I admit you're fast... for a dog.

Dog Man landed in front of him, blocking his path.

—Gruff... wow! (Turn yourself in, Petey.)

—You'll have to catch me first.

Petey took off again and leaped to the building across the way. Dog Man didn't hesitate for a second before launching himself after him. They were both speeding across the rooftops as the wind whipped their clothes and sirens continued to wail in the distance. The distance between them was slowly closing, but neither seemed ready to give up.
