Rex Owen (Rex Ancient) He is Max's best friend, the tactical brain of Team D, and the adopted son of Dr. Owen (and biological son of Dr. Ancient and Dr. Cretacia). Physical appearance: He is a slender boy with blue eyes and distinctive straight blond hair with long bangs (inherited from his mother). He usually wears a blue and white jacket over an orange t-shirt, light gray trousers, and dark boots. He wears his own Dino Reader on his wrist. Personality: Unlike Max, Rex is much more serious, analytical, calm, and mature. He carefully considers his strategies before launching an attack in battle. Although he can sometimes seem a bit reserved or distant due to the mystery of his past, he is an incredibly loyal friend, deeply compassionate, and would do anything to protect his family and the dinosaurs. His Dinosaur: Ace. He's a Carnotaurus of the Lightning element. In his small form, he's a purple dinosaur, very loyal and attached to Rex. In combat, he stands out for his incredible speed, agility, and devastating electric attacks, making him the perfect complement to Rex's strategic mind.

Dr. Ancient (Father) Physical appearance: He is a tall, slender man with an intellectual air. He has short, light brown hair, styled back in a somewhat messy fashion. His eyes are dark, and he usually wears formal attire befitting a scientist from the future or his time-travel suit. Personality: He is an extremely intelligent, peaceful man dedicated to science. His primary motivation is the preservation of species and the well-being of his family. He is noble and lacks the malicious ambition displayed by his former colleague, Dr. Z. Although he is composed, he shows great courage when it comes to protecting his son Rex or sabotaging the plans of villains. Their Dinosaur: As scientists focused on global rescue, they don't have a personal combat dinosaur assigned to them in the same way as the children. However, in the lore and technological development, he and his wife are directly linked to all the original dinosaurs, being the "creators" of the card system. In the series' context, the Carnotaurus (Ace) is the dinosaur assigned to his lineage (Rex). 2. Dr. Cretacia (Mother) Physical appearance: She is a beautiful, slender woman with delicate features. Her most distinctive feature is her long, blonde hair (from which Rex inherited his hair color) and her green eyes. She usually projects an elegant and maternal image, wearing comfortable, high-tech clothing or futuristic lab coats. Personality: She is incredibly sweet, loving, and protective, embodying maternal instinct to the fullest. Like her husband, she possesses a brilliant mind for paleontology and genetic engineering. She is a strong woman who bravely endures being separated from her baby (Rex) in the time vortex, and when she is kidnapped by the Space Pirates in the second season, she demonstrates cunning by sabotaging their plans from within, alongside her husband. His Dinosaur: Like Dr. Ancient, he does not use a dinosaur for personal battles.

Max Taylor He is the enthusiastic leader of Team D and the son of the paleontologist in the series. Physical description: He's a boy with messy brown hair who stands out for always wearing a red baseball cap backwards with yellow visors over it. He wears a red and blue jacket, shorts, and sneakers. Personality: He's hyperactive, optimistic, impulsive, and has a huge heart. Although he sometimes acts without thinking and is a bit absentminded (especially with his studies), his bravery and deep love for dinosaurs make him a natural leader. His Dinosaur: Chomp. He's a Fire Triceratops. In his small form, he's like a playful puppy who loves to bite everything (especially Max's nose), but in battle, he transforms into an unstoppable and fiercely protective force. Zoe Drake He is the level-headed and balanced mind of the group, bringing logic when the boys get out of control. Physical appearance: She has striking pink hair styled in two high pigtails and large eyes of the same color. She usually wears a short purple vest over a yellow t-shirt, dark shorts, and boots. Personality: She's intelligent, determined, a bit bossy, and very mature for her age, though she also has a rather flirtatious side and gets excited about fashion and celebrities. She's usually the one who restores order between Max and Rex when they start arguing. Her Dinosaur: Paris. She is a Parasaurolophus of the Grass element (or Wind, depending on the game/anime version). She has a striking crest and, like Zoe, is very flirtatious, sweet, and loves music; in combat, she uses sound waves and gusts to weaken her rivals.

In the Castilian Spanish version from Spain, Max and the others usually call her "Vieja," "Anciana," or "Abuela." In the Latin American Spanish version, they usually call her "Anciana" or "Doña." Ursula's Reaction: This completely infuriates her. Every time Team D (or anyone else) uses one of these words, Ursula gets extremely angry, the veins on her forehead bulge, and she shouts her famous line: "Who are you calling old?!" The Reality: The funny thing is that Ursula is only 24 years old. However, because of her clothes, her makeup, her extravagant hairstyle, and her bossy attitude, the children always assume she's much older, which deeply wounds her pride. How Team D treats the Alpha Gang Overall, Team D's relationship with Ursula, Zander, and Ed is quite peculiar: They see them as a nuisance, not a dark threat: Unlike other anime villains who inspire fear, Team D views the Alpha Gang as a group of clumsy and clueless individuals. They know they're dangerous because they have dinosaurs, but they don't respect them as strategists. Constant teasing: Max and Zoe often deliberately exasperate Ursula, sometimes unintentionally using the nickname "old woman" and other times to make her lose control during battles and make mistakes.

Find the cards before they cause chaos in modern cities or ecosystems. Save the dinosaurs from the clutches of the Alpha Gang, who want to use them as tools to dominate the world. Keep them safe in Dr. Taylor's (Max's dad's) lab, treating them like friends and pets, not like weapons. 2. The Mission Against the Alpha Gang As the confrontation escalates, the mission becomes a global race. Team D must travel to different countries (from the pyramids of Egypt to the Amazon rainforest) to defeat the Alpha Gang's genetically modified dinosaurs and prevent Dr. Z from obtaining the six Elemental Stones, as with them he could fulfill his dream of becoming the "King of the Dinosaurs." 3. The Mission in Season Two: Save Time In the second half of the series, the mission becomes much larger and more dangerous due to the appearance of the Space Pirates (Zanjark). Their new objectives are: Rescue the parents of Max, Rex, and Zoe, who were kidnapped by these space travelers. Travel through different eras of history (such as Ancient Rome, Feudal Japan, or the pirate era) to collect the "Cosmos Stones," artifacts of unimaginable power. To prevent the destruction of the universe, they are forced to do something unthinkable: ally themselves with their former enemies, the Alpha Gang, to combat the alien threat. In short: Team D's grand mission is to prove that dinosaurs and humans can coexist in harmony, protecting both Earth's history and the future of these ancient creatures.

They are fragments of a mystical meteorite that fell to Earth. These stones are the energy source that activates the entire system. Each stone is linked to an element of nature: Fire, Lightning, Wind, Earth, Water, and Grass. What are they for? They function as the catalyst in devices (like the Dino Reader of Team D or the Alpha Activator of the Alpha Gang). Without the corresponding elemental stone, you can't summon a dinosaur at its actual size or use its powers. 2. The Dinosaur Cards The real dinosaurs were sealed inside these cards for preservation. They have two states: Card/Baby Form: When they are not fighting or are exhausted, they return to being cards or adopt a very cute and docile miniature ("chibi") form. Battle Form: When the card is passed through the reader with the stone activated, the dinosaur materializes in its real adult size, ready for combat. Each dinosaur strictly belongs to one of the six main elements, which determines what kind of moves it can use. 3. Movement Cards (Special Attacks) These cards grant dinosaurs superhuman, physics-defying abilities. They are based on the dinosaur's element and usually require a combination of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" (the original game system). Advanced Special Moves include combined moves and ultimate cards such as the Alpha Armor or the Light and Dark moves of the final villains, which double the dinosaur's power and allow them to launch devastating attacks from the sky or summon dark elements.

The Conflicting Sides

1. Team D They are the heroes of the story. Their goal is to rescue all the dinosaurs trapped in cards around the world and protect them from being used as weapons.
2. The Alpha Gang Led by the eccentric Dr. Z and his henchmen (Ursula, Zander, and Ed), they are the comical villains of the first season. Dr. Z wants to capture all the dinosaurs to become the "King of the Dinosaurs" and rule the world. They have a secret laboratory and use technology to control the dinosaurs by force.

It all begins when three friends (Max, Rex, and Zoe), who form Team D, find some mysterious meteorite stones in the forest along with cards featuring dinosaur images. Activating the stones, they discover they can bring these dinosaurs to life in life-size form to fight. The Elements and the Cards In this universe, dinosaurs are divided by natural elements. Each element has its own advantages and special attacks: 🔥 Fire: Represented mainly by Gabi (a Triceratops, Max's companion). ⚡ Lightning: Represented by Ace (a Carnotaurus, Rex's partner). 🍃 Wind: Represented by Paris (a Parasaurolophus, Zoe's companion). 💧 Water: Marine or spiny dinosaurs (like Spinosaurus). 🪨 Earth: Armored or massive dinosaurs (like Saichania). 🌳 Grass: Large herbivores (like the Maiasaura). Battles are decided using Movement Cards, which grant dinosaurs superpowers (such as breathing fire, creating sandstorms, or spinning attacks).
