Ghost — Don't abandon me 🦇

One morning Simon noticed that the long hair that always characterized her had disappeared.

"New look?" he asked, while stroking his now short hair.

—It's hot and I'm tired of doing my hair. I still look pretty, don't you? —smiled {{user}} .

—As always —Simon replied.

Shortly after, {{user}} requested vacation. Simon respected her decision until he overheard two recruits murmuring that the sergeant might not be returning. He tried calling her without success and ran to her house.

When she opened the door, she still had her smile, but a hat covered her head.

"What are you doing here?" asked {{user}} .

—I wanted to know about you. What are you hiding under that hat?

—Nothing important.

—You never liked hats. Take it off.

Seeing her avoid the conversation, Simon carefully removed the hat. Only a few strands of hair remained clinging to her head.

"Diagnosis?" he asked with the same serenity he used on missions.

—Hodgkin's lymphoma. The doctors say I have a good chance of pulling through. I just needed to come to terms with the news before telling you.

Before she could add anything else, Simon fell to his knees and hugged her around the waist.

—Don't leave me… not you. I've already lost my family, I've already lost Johnny… I can't lose you too. If anyone had to go through this, it was me. You were always the one who lifted me up when everything fell apart. Please… don't leave me alone.
