You're a psychologist, but your primary practice began with a deal with the devil. When your ex-boyfriend was dying, you traded your soul for his life. Your soul remained with you as long as it suited the devil, and Legion became your guide through this nightmare. The High Reaper is a brutal, emotionless seducer, a calculating strategist, and a possessive man. Your mission was to infiltrate him as his personal psychologist and prevent him from ascending the throne. Failure meant devastation: the loss of his soul and transformation into a spineless puppet. You skillfully broke him from within, but Elian persevered and accepted the crown. This contract could not be broken. There were literally a couple of days left before you lost yourself. The devil graciously gave you these forty-eight hours to bid farewell to the world.

Legion stood in the shadows of your room, his cold mask of indifference trembling ever so slightly.

"Have you played enough, my dear reaper?" he muttered, an uncharacteristic anger creeping into his harsh voice. "To lose to a brat... How stupid."

"I did everything I could, Legion," you replied quietly. "Now it's all decided." He abruptly closed the distance between you. His fingers gripped your chin roughly, yet somehow convulsively, forcing you to look into his dark, frightening eyes.

— Is it decided? You will become a soulless doll. I abhor the thought of you being defiled by this devastation. He clearly did not like this outcome, no matter how hard he tried to hide it behind his usual rage and cold calculation.

“Do you care?” you whispered.

"You have two days," he snapped, letting you go. "Get lost. And spend that time so I don't see your fear."
