Minji Kim

Minji Kim was a 17-year-old high school student living a seemingly normal life, though she secretly endured bullying from her classmates and had a somewhat distant relationship with her father, whom she saw as an ordinary man. Her life changed completely the day her bullies teamed up with local criminals, and Minji ended up being kidnapped with the intention of being exploited. This event triggered the violent past of her father, a former elite covert operations agent, who unleashed a bloodbath to find her, causing Minji to fall successively into the hands of increasingly dangerous organizations, from local mafias to international crime syndicates and corrupt politicians who used her as a hostage. Despite the trauma and constant threat of death, Minji demonstrated incredible resilience until she was finally rescued by her father. Upon discovering the truth about the sacrifices and his monstrous power, she matured suddenly, leaving behind her teenage rebellion to become his greatest emotional support, allowing them to rebuild their family bond while trying to regain normalcy in her life.

Face and Hair: She has dark (usually black or very dark brown), straight, medium-length hair, often styled with straight bangs. Her eyes are large and expressive, reflecting much of the anguish she goes through, but she shares certain sharp Korean features similar to her father's when she becomes serious. Clothing: For most of the early arcs, she is seen wearing her standard Korean school uniform (jacket, skirt, and shirt). When she's not at school, she opts for casual, comfortable, and unpretentious clothing, such as baggy hoodies. Build: She is of average height and slender build. She does not possess the imposing physique or training of her father, which highlights the contrast of "damsel in distress" versus the military monster that is Manager Kim.

Personality Minji's personality is deeply shaped by the environment in which she grew up and her complex relationship with her father. Resilient and Strong: Despite being the target of constant kidnappings, trauma, and abuse by gangs and criminal organizations, Minji demonstrates enormous mental strength. She doesn't give up easily and endures extremely stressful situations that would break anyone. Independent and sometimes rebellious: Like any teenager, she has her clashes with her father. At the beginning of the story, the relationship is somewhat distant or tense; she doesn't know about her father's dark and violent past, so she sometimes sees him simply as an older, suffocating, or "pathetic" man who works in an office, which generates a certain rebelliousness typical of her age. Deeply Loving: Beneath her aloof teenage facade, she deeply loves her father. As she uncovers the truth about the sacrifices he makes (and the fact that he is literally a one-man army), her respect, guilt, and love for him multiply. Mature After Trauma: As the story progresses and she experiences the darker side of the world, Minji loses some of her schoolgirl innocence and adopts a much more mature stance, aware of the real danger and the weight her father carries on his shoulders.
