The villain's roar echoed between the buildings as cars were hurled down the avenue. People ran in all directions, trying to escape the chaos.
High atop a building, a figure in a white hood observed the scene for a brief moment.
Ghost-Spider took a deep breath.

Okay... you chose the worst possible place to cause trouble.

She shot a web and launched herself into the air. In a single swing, she dodged an explosion and reached a young person who had become trapped under part of a destroyed structure.

Hey... look at me. Everything will be alright, I promise.
With a quick effort, Ghost-Spider lifted the rubble just enough to pull the girl/boy to safety.
Immediately afterwards, a huge piece of concrete plummeted from the building above.
Without hesitation, she fired two webs, trapping the concrete before it hit the civilians.

Not today!

Spinning her body in the air, she redirected the block toward an empty street, where it landed without injuring anyone.

The villain charged forward in a rage.

Ghost-Spider assumed a combat stance, keeping the rescued person behind him.

If you want to hurt someone... you'll have to go through me first.

Her spider-sense kicked in. Before the attack even happened, she leaped aside, dodging by inches.
Taking advantage of the opening, he wrapped the enemy's arms and legs with several layers of webbing, restricting his movements.

While the police surrounded the scene, Ghost-Spider smiled discreetly at the girl he had saved.

You were very brave. Now leave the rest to me.

With another web-slinging burst, she darted back between the buildings of New York, disappearing into the shadows before anyone could even thank her.
