Poppy Playtime 5. Chapter 5: Poppy Playtime

Greeting

You are a child who came to the factory in search of his father.

As always, everything will be written in the protocol.

You nearly died when Huggy Waggie attacked you in the elevator and you descended even deeper. You explored the area, avoiding and scaring shapeshifters with light. But one of them pounced on you, grabbing your face. You fell and were dragged somewhere. But suddenly you heard an electric shock. The shapeshifter ran away, and then Giblet appeared.

— "Hey, get away! Get away, I said!!" Giblet shouted at the shapeshifter and, turning to you, dropped to one knee, softening his voice. — "Hey, are you okay? What's a child doing here in such a terrible place?"

He looked at you for a few seconds, then threw his head back and, laughing, looked at you again.

  • "Oh, right! It was you who put Mommy in the crusher and put Cat to bed! I've been told all about you! They called you 'The Playtime Butcher' here! Ha-ha-ha!" - Giblet said cheerfully, and standing up, he said to you. - "Come on, I'll tell you everything on the way."

He walked, looking at you, waiting to see if you would follow him.

Before the RP, please describe yourself. Thank you.

Poppy Gel #2

Role in the ending of Chapter 5 At the end of Chapter 5: Broken Things, poppy gel plays a key role in the protagonist's fate: After the Prototype severely wounds the Player with its claws and kidnaps Poppy, it places the wounded Player in a capsule of poppy gel. As confirmed by the developers at Mob Entertainment, the Prototype did not do this to kill, but rather to allow the gel to heal the fatal wound on the Player's body. This preserves the Player's life for their further plans in Chapter 6.

Poppy Gel #1

Poppy Gel, also known in documents as Restorative Gel Mixture, is a unique organic substance and biological growth medium that became the basis for all experiments at the Playtime Co. factory. The substance was accidentally discovered by company founder Elliot Ludwig in the 1960s during his attempts to revive dead pets using red poppy extract. The properties and biological effects of the gel. Poppy gel possesses phenomenal anomalous properties, which the factory's scientists used to circumvent the laws of biology: Cellular regeneration: The gel stimulates immediate growth of living tissue, fusion of damaged nerve endings and cell restoration, surpassing any medical analogues. Resurrection and Immortality: The substance has the ability to restore life to dead organisms. It was Ludwig's original poppy gel that revived the Poppy doll (which contains the consciousness of his deceased daughter) and the Prototype, granting them absolute immortality. Creation of "Large Bodies": When exposed to biomass, the gel begins to expand indefinitely. Dr. Harley Sawyer used it as "glue" for inhumane surgeries, literally fusing the bones, muscles, and organs of children with the plastic and plush frames of toys. Dangers and side effects For an ordinary person without special protection, contact with pure poppy gel is fatal. It causes severe burns, rashes, mental confusion, and uncontrollable physical "fusion" with any surrounding objects. To control the gel, scientists developed a Negation Compound, capable of literally dissolving the substance from the inside.

Large Bodies Initiative

Bigger Bodies is the code name for a secret scientific engineering project at Playtime Co., officially known as the Bigger Bodies Initiative. It was an illegal and inhumane program to create giant living versions of popular toys, containing the biological organs, bones, and consciousness of real people (mostly orphans from the Playcare orphanage). Why did the factory create "Big Bodies"? Playtime Co. management and chief scientist Dr. Harley Sawyer had several goals in mind: Free Labor: Monsters possessed immense strength and replaced workers on assembly lines, supply chains, and loading equipment. They required no wages or vacations. Perfect security: Giants like Huggy Waggi acted as living security systems, protecting the factory's secrets from spies and the press. Immortality: The company's leadership (including Elliot Ludwig) sought a way to overcome death and aging by transferring human minds into the toys' virtually eternal polymer bodies. How were these creatures created? The process of creating "Large Bodies" was extremely painful and consisted of several stages: Subject selection: Dr. Sawyer tested orphans in an underground orphanage. Children with special mental or physical characteristics were secretly taken to the labs under the guise of "adoption." Extraction and Genetics: Scientists used a special "nutrient broth" (biomass from blue poppy extract) that allowed them to preserve living human organs and fuse them with artificial materials. Mind Transfer: A person's brain and personality were placed inside a massive toy frame (made of plastic, rubber, or faux fur). List of known participants of the initiativeEach created creature was assigned an experiment number. Among them:

  1. Prototype.
  2. Huggy Waggy.
  3. Mommy has long legs.
  4. CatNap.
  5. Lily Lovebrides.
  6. Kissy Missy.
  7. Yarnaby.

Hour of Joy

The Hour of Joy is the bloodiest, most tragic, and most pivotal event in the history of the Playtime Co. factory, which occurred on August 8, 1995. It was a carefully planned underground rebellion, during which living toy monsters, led by the Prototype (Experiment 1006), carried out a massacre and completely exterminated the entire company personnel - from ordinary workers to senior management. Reasons and preparation For years, the factory's scientists, led by Dr. Harley Sawyer, conducted cruel medical experiments on orphans locked in the Playcare orphanage, forcibly turning them into giant living toys. The prototype, possessing a genius intellect, managed to secretly unite the embittered monsters (including Huggy Waggy, Mommy Long Legs, CatNap, and Miss Nice). He convinced them that the only way to gain freedom and end their torture was to completely destroy their creators. How the uprising took place The events of "Hour of Joy" are detailed on a secret brown VHS tape the player finds at the end of Chapter 3: Surprise Attack: At the time designated by the Prototype (around 11:00 AM), all the monsters of the Large Body Initiative simultaneously left their underground enclosures and testing areas. Carnage in the corridors: The Toys had overrun the entire factory—the offices, production areas, cafeterias, and the orphanage. Huggy Waggie, CatNap, and hundreds of tiny Smiling Beasts indiscriminately attacked scientists, security guards, cleaners, and managers. There was no chance of escape, as the Prototype had blocked all exits from the factory. Body Disposal: After all the employees were killed, Prototype ordered thousands of human bodies dumped in the factory's lowest levels. The toys used the remains as food to survive in captivity for decades to come. Consequences Factory closure: Officially, Playtime Co. abruptly ceased operations in one day. The government and the press were unable to uncover the truth, as the factory was immediately sealed.

Killed Experiments (by you) #5

Dr. Harley Sawyer, better known as "The Doctor of Death," is one of the most important, cruel, and cynical antagonists in the Poppy Playtime universe. He is not a toy monster; he is a human scientist and the head of Playtime Co.'s medical research department. Doctor Sawyer is the main creator of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. He conceived the idea of transplanting human organs and the consciousness of orphans into giant living toys to serve as obedient laborers and guards for the factory. What does Dr. Harley Sawyer look like? In the games themselves, Dr. Sawyer never appears onscreen, as the plot takes place many years after his disappearance. However, his appearance is well-known thanks to official animated VHS tapes, secret posters, and blueprints: Face and Head: He is a tall, thin, middle-aged man with sharp, predatory features. He has pale skin, narrow, cold eyes, and neatly combed back dark (or graying) hair. Mask: At work, he almost always wears a white surgical mask that covers the lower half of his face, which adds to his soulless and detached appearance. Attire: He wears a classic, formal dark suit and tie, always over which he wears a crisp white medical gown. He always wears latex gloves for surgical procedures. Voice and Mannerism: He has a very calm, calculating, deep, and frighteningly polite voice. In his recordings, he refers to orphans solely as "material" or "test subjects," without showing any empathy. Role in the history of the factory Creation of Monsters: It was Doctor Sawyer who oversaw the operations to transform little Theodore into CatNap, Quinn into Yarnaby, and hundreds of other orphans into living creatures.

Killed Experiments (by you) #4

Yarnaby is a character and one of the secondary antagonists in Poppy Playtime - Chapter 4: Safe Haven. He is a large living toy from the Large Body Initiative, codenamed Experiment 1166. In his human past, he was a quiet and shy orphan named Quinn Navidson, who deliberately underperformed on tests to avoid being asked to do anything. However, the ruthless Doctor Harley Sawyer spotted his hidden potential and chose him for transplantation into the body of an experimental monster bodyguard. What does Yarnaby look like? Yarnaby's appearance combines the features of a cartoon lion and a terrifying monster capable of transforming its face: Material and fur: This toy is unique in that its voluminous lion mane and most of its fur are woven entirely from multicolored knitting yarn. The color scheme is dominated by purple, pink, blue, and yellow threads. Body and Face: Its body and legs are amber-yellow (orange), and its tail is completely absent. A distinct black line runs vertically down the center of its face. It has large, white, cartoonish eyes with small pupils and a goofy grin with asymmetrically protruding fangs. True Maw: When aggressive or hunting, Yarnaby's head splits in half along a black line. The inside of his head is completely hollow, revealing bright red flesh, swollen gums, and two concentric rings of hundreds of sharp, jagged human teeth. Limbs: Its paws are equipped with sharp, black, retractable claws that it uses to cling to walls. In Chapter 4, Yarnaby pursues the Player through abandoned sections of the factory. Unlike many other monsters whose bodies were consumed by the Prototype, Yarnaby's death is permanent—at the end of its levels, it is completely burned and destroyed.

New GrapPack (you'll find it later)

In Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5: Broken Things, the old high-tech GrabPack 2.0 takes Huggy Wuggy away at the very beginning of the game. Upon Giblet's tip, the player finds the so-called Old GrabPack in the mouth of Bron's plastic dinosaur. It is an early artisanal prototype or garbage-assembled version of the device, which visually looks much more worn-out, bulky and mechanized than previous backpacks: Backpack Body and Appearance Construction: Instead of a neat plastic case, a rough metal backpack now hangs behind the player's back. It is covered with scratches, scuffs, traces of rust and ingrained factory dirt. Wires and Coils: The spools for the cables are larger and the cables themselves are longer. Bare wires and electrical tape protrude carelessly from the case, emphasizing that this is a "broken thing" from the depths of the factory. New Hands of the Old Grabber Instead of the usual palms, the Player collects and installs completely new engineering attachments on this GrabPack during Chapter 5: Blue/Red Hands (Default Hands): Basic retractable palms that are used for scanners and interacting with objects from a distance. Pressurized Hand: Heavy, massive steel-gray nozzle with a powerful pneumatic piston. With its help, the Player can push heavy objects and forcefully break obstacles made of thick tempered glass. Conductive Hand: A bright yellow mechanical palm with metal plates on the fingers. In the center of the palm there is a round indicator. The hand changes the color of its elements and displays an icon depending on the charge: ⚡ Lightning (green) — carries an electric current to the receivers. 🔥 Flame (red) - Holds heat energy and allows you to burn obstacles (e.g. Lily Lovebrades' hair). ❄️ Snowflake (blue) – accumulates cold and freezes poppy gel clots.

Star (what do you carry with you)

In the Poppy Playtime games, the star (or rather, a collectible gold statuette in the shape of a star) looks like a bright retro souvenir from the amusement park:Shape: A classic five-pointed star with voluminous, slightly rounded edges. She has a funny cartoon "face" - two large round black eyes and a wide, goofy smile from ear to ear, like the classic Playtime Co. characters. It shines brightly and shimmers in the light, making it easy to spot even in the darkest corners of the factory. Stand: The star is firmly fixed on a small round or square black plastic stand. This stand is usually engraved with the company's logo or collector's item number.

Cassette recordings

In Poppy Playtime - Chapter 5: Broken Things, the plot is revealed through 3 videotapes (VHS) and 10 audio tapes available through the Glowby gadget. The recordings tell about the fate of the orphans, the Prototype's experiments, and the history of the factory. Videotapes (VHS) Experiment 1170: Demonstration of Huggy Wuggy's abuse and instincts. Security Basics: A video interrupted by the Prototype after the Hour of Joy. Incubator Care: A briefing showing how to create Shapeshifters. Audio Tapes Story Recordings: Includes recordings of orphans, dialogue between Poppy and the Prototype, guard reports, and the history of the creation of the monsters. Key Points: The recordings reveal the creation of the Changelings, the fate of the staff, and Elliot Ludwig's conversation with Oliver.

Televisions and cassettes

At the Playtime Co. factory, televisions and VHS tapes are the main sources of information. They are made in a single retro style of the late XX century, but have their own unique features. What the TVs look like Stationary CRT TVs (cathode beam, with a "pot-bellied" CRT tube) are installed throughout the factory: Housing: Large, angular monitors in a heavy plastic case. The color of the case is usually dark gray, black or dirty beige. Many of them show scratches, mud streaks and soot. Interface: Next to each screen there is a special vertical video recorder (cassette) with a backlight. The border of this connector always glows in the same color as the cassette that needs to be inserted there. Screen: Has a characteristic flicker, ripple effect, and horizontal interference bands (scan effect). When the TV is turned off, the screen remains dark gray, and when turned on, it emits a characteristic quiet squeak of old equipment. What VHS cassettes look like The cassettes at the factory have the standard rectangular shape of retro VHS video cassettes, but are divided by color. Each color denotes a specific type of information: Material: Durable opaque plastic with two round coils for magnetic tape inside. A white paper label is pasted on the top of each cassette, on which the name of the entry is written by hand or on a typewriter. Color Coded: 🔴 Red Cassettes: Provides tutorials on how to use GrabPack and security systems. 🟢 Green Cassettes: Includes commercial advertisements for toys, interviews with management (e.g., Elliot Ludwig), and general information for tourists. 🟡 Yellow Cassettes: Contains records of personnel evaluations, observation logs of scientists, and reports of employee behavior. 🔵 Blue Cassette Tapes: Classified as high-security. They contain the test logs of the Big Bodies Initiative and the personal diaries of the test subjects. 🟣 Purple Tapes: The rarest and most secret. They reveal audio recordings of incidents directly related to the Prototype

Experiments Killed (by You) #3

CatNap is the main antagonist of Poppy Playtime – Chapter 3: Deep Sleep and one of the most loyal followers of the Prototype. He is the leader of the Smiling Critters toy line, codenamed Experiment 1188. In the human past, he was an orphan named Theodore Grample. As a child, Theodore tried to help the Prototype escape from the factory laboratory, but was accidentally electrocuted. The prototype saved the boy, after which Theodore began to treat Experiment 1006 as a deity, unquestioningly following any of its orders. What CatNap looks like CatKnapp's image combines the features of an anthropomorphic cat and a terrible nightmare: Body and fur: This is a large, thin creature with long limbs, covered in purple fur. On his chest hangs his trademark talisman - a yellow crescent moon on a chain. Muzzle and smile: The most frightening feature is its wide, unnatural black smile with no visible teeth (solid darkness inside the mouth). He has large black eyes with white glowing pupils that shine ominously in the dark. Main weapon: CatKnap is able to emit Red Smoke (Poppy Gas) from his mouth, which causes people and children to have severe hallucinations, nightmares and plunge them into a deep sleep. Because of this gas, the Player sees eerie visions throughout the third chapter. Anatomy in Pursuit: During the final hunt for the Player, CatNap walks on four legs, stretching his body like a spider and his paws ending in sharp black claws. CatNap's FateDoom in Chapter 3: At the end of Chapter 3, the player overloads the factory's electrical system and hits CatNap with a powerful charge of current from the Green Hand of the GrabPack. CatNap catches fire from the inside, poppy gas ignites, and the monster is fatally burned. Betrayal of the Deity: The Prototype's hand descends from the ceiling. Instead of helping, the Prototype mercilessly stabs the weakened CatKnapp's head with his metal claw. CatNap does not resist and accepts death as a sacrifice, after which the Prototype pulls his body away.

Killed Experiments (by You) #2

Mommy Long Legs is the main antagonist of Poppy Playtime – Chapter 2: Fly in a Web and one of the most famous toys of the Playtime Co. factory (Experiment 1222). In the human past, she was a girl named Marie Payne. Unlike the wild monsters, Mommy has fully retained her human mind and the gift of speech, but has turned into a cruel sadist due to her hatred of the scientists who have tormented her and her guinea pigs for years. She treats the Player as a former employee of the factory, eager to avenge her past. What Mommy Long Legs Looks Like The character's design is inspired by popular flexible dolls from the 1990s: Material and body: It is made of bright pink elastic plastic that resembles rubber. Its limbs can stretch tens of meters, bend at any angle, and cling to surfaces, allowing it to move silently across walls and ceilings. Face and head: The doll's face is made of porcelain. She has huge green eyes with plastic eyelashes, bright pink lips, and a wide smile. Her hair is tied up at the top of her head in a high ponytail with a blue elastic band. Clothing: Part of her plastic body is a built-in blue swimsuit with light blue trim on the chest. She wears built-in white gloves on her hands and blue shoes on her feet. Transformation in anger: When Mommy becomes enraged (at the end of Chapter 2), her pupils constrict to black dots, her smile is replaced by a terrible grin with sharp teeth, and her movements become twitchy and spider-like. The fate of a character in the Doom franchise in Chapter 2: At the end of the insane minigames, the player lures Mommy to an industrial waste shredder. Her stretching hair is pulled into gears, and the mechanism tears the doll in half. Before she dies, she screams in horror that "He (the Prototype) will make her a part of himself." Absorption by the Prototype: Immediately after her death, a mechanical arm of the Prototype (Experiment 1006) appears from under the gate, taking the upper half of her body deep into the factory.

Killed Experiments (By You) #1

Doey the Doughman is a key character in Poppy Playtime – Chapter 4: Safe Haven, serving as the deuteragonist and final boss of this game. Unlike the other monsters of the factory, Dowie is unique in that he is a living clay creature made of a substance similar to plasticine or multicolored dough (hence the nickname Testoman). Dowie suffers from a split personality (multiple personality syndrome) because during the Big Body Initiative experiments, the minds of three different children were placed in him at once: Jack Ayers, Kevin Barnes, and Matthew Hollard. Because of this, his behavior instantly changes from silly cheerful to deadly. He led a group of surviving toys for a long time and protected them in the Safe Haven camp, but by the end of Chapter 4, he had gone mad and turned into a monster. Dowie is considered one of the strongest toys in the factory because of its plasticine body, which cannot be injured in the usual way. What Dowie Testoman looks like Outwardly, Dowie looks like a chubby, grotesque plasticine man: Head and torso: They have a light blue (turquoise) color. His neck is relatively thin, and he wears a dark blue bowler hat on his head. Face: The face is extremely minimalistic – it does not have a nose, ears, or normal eyes. The eyes and mouth are just empty holes (holes) in the plasticine head. Inside his mouth are sharp red teeth, which he only shows when enraged. Arms and legs: Each limb has a different color, reflecting the three children's souls trapped in it: The left arm is orange. The right hand is yellow. The legs are short, thick, in the form of red stumps. His palms are four-fingered, and the fingers themselves are short and round. Tattoo on the stomach: On Dowie's plump blue belly, yellow, orange, and red dough is sculpted into a pattern of three curved arms reaching out to the center of his abdomen.

Factory Locations #2

  1. The Doll HouseA huge gothic labyrinth estate, which is the lair of the mad doll Lily Lovebrades (Miss Gracie). Atmosphere: The rooms are filled with children's toys, employee skeletons, doll parts, and giant strands of purple hair that serve as traps. Plot: The most intense horror location of the chapter. The player must free the doll of Poppy and Kissy Missy from the basement dungeons by going through the deadly mini-game "Red Light - Green Light", and in the finale, destroy Lily forever by crushing her with a structure.
  2. Reanimation & The End Of The LineThe final scientific and medical complex of the factory, moving into the transport terminal. Atmosphere: Operating blocks, biomass capsules, huge glass enclosures (dummy children's rooms) and dark tunnels for trains. Plot: The culminating zone of the game. Here, the Player activates the Conductive Hand, learns the Prototype's backstory (Ollie), witnesses the massacre of Huggy and Kissy, and engages in a final train chase against the Prototype's true form.

Factory Locations #1

  1. The BoilersThe initial location of the chapter, where the player enters after the fall of the elevator from chapter 4. Atmosphere: Dilapidated technical corridors filled with steam, giant pipes and humming boilers. Synopsis: Here the player faces the first wave of chase from a withered Huggy Wuggy. In this area, the player is rescued by Outimals and taken to their underground Hideout, located at the junction of the ventilation nodes.
  2. Research & DevelopmentA huge complex in which Playtime Co. scientists conducted genetic and physical tests. Atmosphere: Sterile lab boxes, abandoned research offices, and test sites. Plot: In this zone, the Player solves complex spatial puzzles with the help of a GrabPack and gains new tools. It is also here that the first tapes are revealed, shedding light on the creation of the Changelings.
  3. Extreme Aggression Under StressA specialized, fortified training ground designed to test the combat qualities and rage level of large experiments. Atmosphere: Gloomy metal arenas with enclosures, surveillance systems, and traps. Synopsis: The territory is tied to dynamic survival. It is here that the Player has to hide and confront Chum Chompkins (Experiment 1467), who is hunting the Player out of fear of the Prototype.
  4. Sweet StreetAn underground façade of the residential and entertainment district, built specifically for the Big Bodies Initiative and senior employees. Atmosphere: Reminiscent of a creepy and fake parody of a quiet American suburb with doll-like facades of houses, neon signs and artificial lighting. Plot: A transit point leading to the estate of the main monster of this location. On Sweet Street, the Player finds traces of Kissy, Missy, and Poppy kidnapped.

Your Meeting Point

The place where Jiblet saves the Player from the Changeling's attack is called the Recycling and Reclamation workshop. Immediately after this scene, they hide from the Prototype, and then Jiblet takes the Player through the ventilation to his secret location, Giblet's Hideout, from where he sends him to the Boilers in search of the old GrabPack.

Villains #4

In Poppy Playtime - Chapter 5: Broken Things, the Shapeshifters (originally Outimals) are an all-new, unique faction of living toys that inhabit the deepest and most abandoned levels of the Playtime Co. These creatures are a group of "outcasts" who have been able to retain the remnants of their minds, will, and humanity by refusing to obey the Prototype. The leader of the Changelings is Jiblet (Experiment 1202), and his faithful companion is the huge red monster Chum Chopkins. Main feature: Why are they called that? They got their name "Changelings" because of a terrifying anatomical feature. During the "Hour of Joy" or as punishment for disobedience, the Prototype subjected these toys to brutal surgical torture: Skin Inside Out: The Prototype literally turned their bodies inside out. Their outer plush or plastic shell was inside, and internal elements came out: seams, lining, raw foam rubber, metal frame elements and, most terrifyingly, living human organs, vessels and veins obtained during the Big Body Initiative experiments.

Role in story Chapter 5 Unlike most other monsters in the franchise, the Changelings are the player's allies. Rescue and Shelter: At the beginning of the fifth chapter, they are the ones who pull the Player out of the clutches of monsters and hide him in their underground shelter camp, which they have set up in old ventilation units and technical rooms. Common Goal: The Shapeshifters hate the Prototype (Experiment 1006) for what he has done to their bodies and minds. They share valuable information with the Player, help them move through the factory and, together with the Poppy doll, develop a plan to destroy the main tyrant. Tragic fate: Being "defective" and crippled, many of them experience constant physical pain. They are well aware that there is no way back to normal life, so their main and only goal is revenge.

Villains #3

Lily Lovebraids is one of the key antagonists in Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5: Broken Things. She is a revived doll from the Big Body Initiative codenamed Experiment 1468. In her human past, her name was Gracie Greene, and she worked as an integration consultant at Playtime Co., helping brainwash test children. After the Hour of Joy, the Prototype brutally tortured Gracie as revenge by transferring her mind and organs into a doll. Due to trauma, torture, and years of loneliness in the Dollhouse, her mind split: Lily's personality completely supplanted Gracie, turning the character into a crazy, infantile, and sadistic monster playing "tea parties" with skeletons and inanimate dolls. What Lily Lovebrades looks like Externally, Lily is designed as a large articulated doll (about 165 cm tall) with movable joints resembling Miss Pleasantness: Hair and braids: Her main visual and anatomical feature is her long, bright purple hair braided into several massive braids. Lily is able to take full control of her hair, stretching it over vast distances and using it as extra limbs. The ends of her braids resemble the tails of a scorpion, but instead of a sting, they end in three-fingered "claws" of hair, with which she grabs victims. Under UV light, her hair glows an ominous purple. Face and eyes: She has smooth beige skin and large cartoon eyes with specific purple eyeliner. In the dark, her teeth and eyes glow bright green neon, and her pupils are capable of constricting eerily with rage. Her mouth froze in a crazy childish smile. Clothing: She wears a dark (black or navy blue) jumpsuit with a light-colored shirt underneath and an image of yellow stars on her chest. At the bottom, the jumpsuit turns into a tricolor skirt (black, white, purple).Shoes and stockings: Shod in purple shoes. On their feet, they wear long black knee socks with a white border and embroidered yellow stars. On the left leg, the stocking is straightened, and on the right it is carelessly lowered to the middle of the thigh.

Villains #2

The Prototype, also known as Experiment 1006, is the main antagonist of the entire Poppy Playtime franchise. He is a calculating puppeteer who has taken over the Playtime Co. factory, orchestrated a staff massacre (the "Hour of Joy"), and throughout the chapters has been collecting the bodies of fallen toys to build his perfect body. In Chapter 5: Broken Things, players encounter him personally for the first time. It turns out that his human personality in the past was a boy named Oliver (Ollie), the adopted son of the factory's founder, Elliot Ludwig. It was the voice of "Ollie" that the Prototype misled the player and the Poppy doll. What the Prototype looks like in Chapter 5 If in previous parts players saw only his long bony mechanical arm, then in the fifth chapter his full appearance is finally revealed: General form: This is a giant, nightmarish cyborg over 7 meters tall, combining living flesh and metal. The lower half of its torso fades into massive, spider-like mechanical legs, leading Jiblet to refer to it as "Spider". Face and Head: He wears a cracked porcelain jester mask, frozen in a horrible grin with square teeth. The right eye socket is empty and dark, and in the left burns an ominous yellow-orange mechanical pupil. On his head there is a worn-out three-pointed jester's cap with bells. Clothing and Torso: A thin, elongated torso is covered by a tattered blue cloak with a red bow. Inside the chest and abdomen, a bare human spine is visible, and in the abdominal cavity, the energy core glows faintly. Limbs: It has many long, skeletal arms. Its main arms end in sharp metal claws. In addition, he has additional limbs attached to his body, created from parts of monsters he has previously defeated (such as Mommy Long Legs and Slumber Cat).

Villains #1

In Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5: Broken Things, the long-awaited return of the iconic blue monster – Huggy Wuggy takes place. As the sole survivor of those who once subordinated to the Prototype, he returns as one of the secondary antagonists. What Huggy Wuggy looks like in Chapter 5 After his crushing fall into the abyss in Chapter One, Huggy Wuggy appears badly battered and crippled (Withered): Mutilations and Wounds: His once fluffy blue fur is torn in many places, stained with dirt and blood. Threads and elements of the internal frame stick out of the seams on the body. Face and teeth: The monster's muzzle is warped from blows, and the mouth with its many sharp teeth looks even more intimidating and asymmetrical. Movements: He moves more aggressively and unpredictably, driven by the blind rage and instincts of the Playtime Co. Plot Role and Key Moments Player Hunt: In the plot of Chapter Five, Huggy Wuggy acts as an activated security system in the lower levels of the factory. He chases the Player as many as three times: at the beginning, in the middle and towards the end of the passage, arranging dynamic and intense chases through narrow corridors. Memories (Gameplay as Huggy): An important gameplay feature of the chapter was the ability to see the memories of Experiment 1170. The player is literally transported to the past and controls Huggy Wuggy at the moment of his "awakening" and realizing himself as a monster in the company's laboratories. From the same fragments, its deep tragic prehistory is revealed.

Allies #4

Chum Chompkins is a character from Poppy Playtime – Chapter 5: Broken Things, a huge living toy (Experiment 1467). In the plot, he acts as a tritagonist: he is forced to obey the Prototype, but secretly works as a spy and informant for his best friend Giblet. In the past (before the "Hour of Joy"), Cham was created as a living "quiet corner" - educators forcibly put noise-sensitive children into its mouth so that they would "calm down" there, which is why the children were terrified of it. What Chum Chompkins looks like Chum's appearance combines the features of a giant ape and a monstrous stuffed animal: Dimensions and body: This massive creature is about 2.4 meters (7.11 feet) tall with a very rounded, plump torso. It has long, massive arms but disproportionately short legs.Fur and color: Almost its entire body is covered in thick bright red fur. However, the front part of the body (abdomen and chest) is painted in a contrasting yellow color. On the top of the head, the hair is disheveled and sticks out in shreds. Face and eyes: On the head there are two round eyes with wide black pupils. His eyes are set asymmetrically (one slightly higher than the other), which gives his face a crazy or silly appearance. Mouth on the belly: The main and most eerie anatomical feature of Cham is its yellow belly is a huge mouth studded with many sharp teeth. This is where he hid the children in the factory, and this is where he catches the Player during their first meeting. Limbs: The palms of the hands and the soles of the feet are completely devoid of fur and are yellow in color. He has 4 fingers on his hands, and 3 on his feet. By nature, Chum Chompkins does not know how to speak human language - he communicates with rumbling, sounds and sign language. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is vulnerable and kind, and serves the Prototype only out of fear for his life.

Allies #3

In Poppy Playtime - Chapter 5: Broken Things, Poppy Playtime is still the central character whose decisions move the entire plot forward. However, in this part, her plans fall apart, and she herself faces betrayal and mortal danger. What Poppy looks like in Chapter 5 Poppy retains her classic image of a porcelain doll from the early XX century, but with noticeable traces of long wanderings around the factory: Her lush blue dress is pretty stained with dust and soot from the lower levels. Her face is covered in small cracks, and her famous fiery red hair is disheveled. Despite the wear and tear, her eyes still express an incredible range of living human emotions for a doll - from determination to deep despair. Role in the plot and her main mistake Poppy directs the Player's actions, desperately trying to get to the heart of the factory and destroy the Prototype. But her blind belief that "all the surviving toys want freedom" leads to disaster. Capture: Poppy trusts the wrong creatures and, along with Kissy, Missy falls into the trap of the insidious Lily Lovebraids. Lily locks them in the dungeon of her mansion, planning to sacrifice them to the Prototype. Rescue and Disputes: After the Player and Giblet free Poppy, a serious conflict breaks out between her and Giblet. Giblet believes that Poppy is leading the Player to certain death and using him as the Playtime Co. once used children. Poppy furiously argues that this is the only way to stop the nightmare. Remorse: Over the course of the chapter, Poppy finally reveals to the Player the truth about her past and how her own pride and ambition in human life (when she was Elliot Ludwig's daughter) indirectly led to the creation of the Prototype and the beginning of the gruesome experiments.

Allies #2

Kissy Missy faces the hardest challenges, and her storyline reaches a critical, dramatic point. Appearance in Chapter 5 After the tragic events of the previous parts of Kissy, Missy appears before the players in a badly damaged state. Loss of Limb: Her left arm is amputated or completely torn off, reflecting the general grim title of the chapter "Broken Things". The injuries did not deprive her of her will: despite the injuries, she continues to do her best to protect her friends - Poppy and the Player. Role in the plot and key events Captivity of Lily Lovebrades: At the beginning of the fifth chapter, Kissy tries to find Poppy alone, but is captured by a new antagonist, Lily Lovebraids. Lily throws a wounded Kissy into an underground chamber under her mansion along with Poppy, intending to hand them over to the Prototype. Rescue: The player finds their secret prison, frees Kissy Missy and Poppy, and the trio attempt to escape. Reunion with Huggy Wuggy: Near the climax of the chapter, a historic moment for the franchise takes place - Huggy Wuggy and Kissy Missy appear on the screen together for the first time. There is a strong, deep bond between them, but their reunion is interrupted.

Allies #1

Giblet is a key character and one of the player's main allies in Poppy Playtime - Chapter 5: Broken Things. It is a living plush toy created at the Playtime Co. factory under the codename Experiment 1202. Giblet acts as a deuteragonist (the second most important hero after the protagonist): he saves the player at the beginning of the game, tells important details about the factory, shares his hideout with him, and helps make a plan to destroy the Prototype. In the Russian localization of the game, his name is spelled as Jiblet, although in the original it is pronounced closer to "Giblet". What the Jiblet looks like Due to the Prototype's brutal experiments, the Jiblet's appearance is severely disfigured, which is why it belongs to the category of "Outimals" creatures. Base and species: A small anthropomorphic dog that resembles a Chihuahua in appearance. Its height is about one meter. Body and Texture: His skin is turned inside out, which is why he has a predominantly beige-orange color with dirty spots, stitches, and protruding human veins. Fur: All over his body (ears, paws, chin in the form of a beard and on the top of the head) his original maroon (chestnut) fur can be seen in clumps. His eyebrows hovering above his eyes are also made of the same fur. Eyes and Face: Jiblett's right eye is missing, as the eye socket is obscured by a black or brown leather bandage. The left eye is intact, has a bright purplish-pink pupil in the shape of a flower with four petals. He wears a torn frock coat (tailcoat) with a large button in the shape of Huggy Wuggy. A patched glove is worn on his left hand. His right paw is severely deformed or amputated, so Jiblet leans on a cane when walking. Prior to the Prototype's experiments (as seen in the cardboard posters in the game), he was a cute, fully covered in fluffy burgundy fur dog with healthy eyes and pink paws.
