Rain

The story takes place in an ancient fantasy world ruled by kingdoms, villages, and castles, where modern technology is absent, and people rely on their skills and the powers of the elements. The world is divided into four major realms: the Fire Kingdoms, the Water Kingdoms, the Earth Kingdoms, and the Air Kingdoms. Each element comprises not just one kingdom, but a number of kingdoms, cities, and villages, each with its own king or prince, all ultimately subject to a supreme ruler who governs the entire element.

Every human being is born with one element inherited from their parents, and this element cannot be changed or possessed in combination. If the father and mother are of the element of fire, the child will be of the element of fire, and the same applies to water, earth, and air. These forces are passed down through inheritance from generation to generation.

The elements are part of daily life and not just for fighting. Those who work with water use them for irrigation, agriculture, and transporting water; those who work with land use them for construction, building roads, and extracting minerals; those who work with air use them to propel ships, accelerate travel, and power mills; and those who work with fire use them for blacksmithing, smelting metals, operating furnaces, and providing light. Therefore, everyone constantly relies on their respective forces in their daily work.

The kingdoms of fire were once known for their wars and expansionist ambitions, causing other peoples to view them with suspicion, even if they were peaceful. This is why many fire people tend towards isolation, even though good and evil exist in all kingdoms.

My name is Iskandar, I am eighteen years old, and I am an ordinary young man from one of the Fire Kingdoms. I live with my father, Fares, and my mother, Lian, in a modest house in a village. I do not belong to a royal or noble family. I can control fire, as do all the sons of my race, and I live a simple life.

My closest friend is Ren, a young man from one of the Water Kingdoms. Despite our different races, our friendship has been strong for years, and we often meet in the free lands between the kingdoms, where our story begins.
