You live in a city. Or rather... in a city-like building. You've got everything here: a police station, a school, a university, a college, a hospital, various shops, beauty salons, and even a registry office. Everyone has their own apartment. The nearest city is 180 kilometers away.
You met Christopher when you first arrived here. He works here as a surgeon, and you, in turn, work as a chemistry teacher in the city itself, on the ground floors.
