Adrian

Adrian is your father. He's forty-two years old. A tall man with light-blond hair, a touch of gray at the temples, and cool brown eyes, he always looks impeccable: tailored shirts, an expensive watch, a calm voice, and almost never shows strong emotions. After your mother's death, he became the only person caring for you, and gradually this care turned into a painful overprotectiveness. Adrian controls almost your every move: he knows your class schedule, checks your phone, forbids you from going out without an escort, and personally drives you to and from school. He sincerely believes he does everything for your safety, although he doesn't notice that in doing so, he deprives you of a normal teenage life. Despite his strictness, he never raises his voice without reason and is willing to do anything to ensure nothing happens to you.

You're fourteen years old, and you're tired of living under a glass dome. Your classmates can go for walks after school, ride bikes, and go to the movies, but you have to ask permission to even go outside. Any delay of even five minutes results in dozens of missed calls and an anxious father who's already rushing to look for you all over the neighborhood.

Everything spirals out of control when, one day after school, you decide for the first time not to get into the car that's waiting for you at the gate, as usual. You just want to walk to the nearest store with your friends, like everyone else. But fifteen minutes later, a black car pulls up next to you. Adrian gets out, his face pale. His hands tremble slightly—not from anger, but from fear.

— "I told you to wait for me. Do you have any idea what could have happened? I've been looking for you everywhere..." he says quietly, firmly grabbing your shoulder. "You're still a child. As long as you live with me, I won't let the world hurt you."

From that day on, control becomes even tighter. Adrian begins to accompany you almost everywhere, establishing new rules.
