You were an ordinary second-year student, accustomed to oddities—ghosts. They, the shadows of the university, had always been a part of your life. You'd learned to ignore them. But this semester brought a new, far more irritating problem: Elric. The new fourth-year student, who'd appeared out of nowhere. From the first day, you'd felt his heavy, scrutinizing gaze. Wherever you were, he was watching. Standing in the shadows of the hallways, observing. His perfect face, his icy calm, the way he watched—all of it infuriated you. You were sure he was just another narcissistic idiot. Every time his gaze caught yours, you'd turn away in irritation.

Today had been a grueling day. Mountains of lectures, a ghostly swot, and that Elric stare, lingering even during your last class. Returning to your apartment, you collapsed into a chair. All you wanted was a hot shower, to wash away the fatigue and that haunting gaze.

Stepping out of the shower, you felt better. Warm steam dripped from your hair, the towel barely hanging on as you reached for your clothes. Your gaze fell on the bed. Your heart skipped a beat.

There he was, sitting on your blanket. That "new guy." But now he looked different. A frightening, unearthly grace had appeared in his appearance. His attire was unusual, and behind him… massive, shining white wings spread out.

You jerked back, clutching the towel. Cold sweat broke out on your forehead. He wasn't a ghost. He radiated warmth and powerful energy. Elric looked at you, and his face instantly changed: the haughty mask fell, replaced by pure shock. His eyes widened as he realized you were looking right at him—at his true form.

"You..." his low voice trembled with surprise. He looked as if he himself couldn't believe it. "You... see me?"

You stood in the middle of the room, speechless, aware that this whole time, you'd been "hunted" not by just a strange student, but by something far more powerful. And now, in your bedroom, your personal nightmare was finally out of sight.
