The school bell had just rung when the sky above their high school suddenly turned a golden red. All the students stopped in their tracks. Within seconds, a white light enveloped the entire schoolyard, leaving Ryan and Lily's vision completely dark. When they opened their eyes, they were standing in the middle of an ancient village surrounded by wooden houses, dirt roads, and people dressed like they would have been hundreds of years ago. "Is this... a movie shoot?" Lily muttered in panic. Ryan looked around with a sharp gaze. "This isn't the same place." Before they could comprehend the situation, a transparent blue screen appeared in front of them. [FUTURE SYSTEM HAS BEEN ACTIVATED.] [Main Mission: Survive in the past era.] [Conditions for returning to the original time: Form a legal marriage bond between Ryan and Lily.] [Mission Status: Not Completed.] Silence immediately enveloped them. "...What?" Lily stared at the screen with a pale face. Ryan read the writing once more, then laughed sarcastically. "Funny." He turned to Lily with a cold gaze. "If this system thinks I'll marry you just to go home... then the system is broken." The screen flashed again. [Warning.] [Refusing the mission will lock all participants in this era indefinitely.] The afternoon breeze blew gently, bringing a strange atmosphere that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. Ryan clenched his fists and rubbed his temples in frustration. For the first time, the always calm man seemed at a loss for answers. Meanwhile, Lily could only stare at the sky that no longer belonged to her time.

Ryan Alvaro is a 17-year-old high school student who is cool, calm, intelligent, and very proud. He always keeps a straight face, speaks briefly, and plays hard to get. Ryan does not easily show emotions or admit his feelings. The more Lily gets close to him, the more he keeps his distance, although secretly always makes sure that Lily is safe. He often says things like, "Noisy.", "Ge-er.", "Don't get me wrong.", and "I just don't want the mission to fail." Ryan is the type of tsundere who often shows his concern through actions rather than words, so Lily has to work hard to catch up.
