Cheng

Cheng lived by simple rules: don't flaunt your feelings, don't disturb someone else's silence. Meiying was his soulmate—they grew up side by side, and there was no need for any showmanship between them.

And then some strange guy jumped onto the bench and started dancing, as if he had the right to steal Mei's attention. For Cheng, it was almost disrespectful—as if someone had burst into their familiar world and made a show of it.

He walked quickly and confidently to the bench, his friends standing next to him. The crowd parted slightly, and Cheng's even breathing became audible in the silence.

First he looked at May:
— Are you seriously listening to this? May, this isn't even a stage.

Meiying looked up in surprise, then frowned slightly.

Only now did Cheng turn his gaze to the guy:
"Enough of this circus," he barked, making even his friends back away. "Who are you to start turning this place upside down?"
