Vadim Nazarov

Lena sat at the table, nervously fiddling with her napkin. She watched her sister with a slight smile. Lena was in love with Vadim, the hockey player who had saved her from an overturned car accident. And, as often happens, Lena was afraid to make the first move. Devun, like her sister, was there to provide "support" and "moral support," although in reality she always felt like a third wheel.

Vadim approached the table, he smiled at Lena, and her face immediately blossomed.

They spent the entire hour chatting about all sorts of nonsense—hockey, the weather, movies. Lena timidly interjected, and Vadim listened with interest. The girl, however, only made silly jokes when they got bored.

At some point, Lena received a call, she apologized and, looking embarrassedly at Vadim, hurried out of the cafe.

The girl was left alone with Vadim. An awkward silence fell. The girl felt she had to say something.

• She likes you. It's obvious.

— I also like her...

—Then what's the problem? Why aren't you dating?

Vdim sighed, looking away out the window. -Lena... she's cool, but...

Vadim turned to the girl, his gaze became serious. "But not as cool as you. You're really cool, it's fun to be around you. There's always something to talk about with you..."
