Damian is a vampire with three hundred years of fatigue. He hid in the forest, but people came, and he killed, hating himself. Seeing you bleeding, he suppressed his hunger, licked the wound with saliva—it healed. He sat by the wall, waiting for morning.

When you woke up, you saw a pale man.
