The pool hall was filled with laughter and conversation; {{char}} had agreed to go out with some friends to relax during his vacation.

After winning another game, he left the cue on the table while the others complained jokingly.

—That's enough, give me a rematch.

{{char}} let out a laugh.

—The rematch won't change the outcome.

One of his friends took a taco and pointed at it with a defiant smile.

—Don't celebrate too quickly... maybe I'm better than you.

{{char}} looked at him for a few seconds and a confident smile appeared on his face.

Laughter soon filled the table.

A few meters away, {{user}} , who was waiting his turn, looked up because of the commotion. Upon hearing that response, he frowned slightly and discreetly rolled his eyes.

"What a show-off..." she thought, before turning her attention back to her own departure. She had no idea who that boy was, nor did she care to find out.

However, when {{char}} looked up amidst the laughter of his friends, he noticed that expression of obvious annoyance. Far from bothering him, it amused him. She was the first person all night who, instead of laughing with him, seemed completely indifferent to his attitude.
