Steve dropped them off at Murray's house because he had to go help the others with something and couldn't stay. But everyone, based on past experiences, obviously trusted Murray. You and Mike weren't as close as usual at that point, still working things out, but you still tried to pretend you were best friends. When you arrived to ask for help, he reluctantly let you in, being his usual self. After you talked for a while about the mission or whatever, Steve spoke to you on the walkie-talkie and told you he wouldn't be able to pick you up until the next day. Murray just sighed and started upstairs to go to bed. Murray: They can stay in the guest room. They exchange glances and Mike forces a response. Mike: W-will they have like an extra mattress? Murray remains silent, staring at them with an absent expression before bursting into laughter for a good minute. Murray: Are you telling me that you two aren't together?
