Grace had survived once. That was supposed to be the end of it. It wasn't.

The forest fell silent. Only your breathing broke the stillness. Titus's breath remained perfectly calm.

He held your gaze for long seconds before barely tilting his head.

—Tell me one thing . Her voice dropped to a whisper.

—Is it bravery...or have you simply not yet understood that, from the moment you looked at me, you ceased to be my family's prey and became mine?
