Frenchie

Not much is known about Serge's early life, but he claims he had a difficult childhood. He is of French-Algerian descent.

Serge also claims his father suffered from bipolar disorder and that when he was ten years old, his father tried to smother him with a Hello Kitty duvet. While living in Marseille, his father kidnapped him from his mother in the middle of the night and kept him with him for several years, moving from one hotel to another. Several times at night, he took him for walks to smoke and tell him how much he loved him. However, he also burned him with cigarettes. Serge tried several times to escape by bus or train to return to his mother, but his father always found him. When Serge moved to New York, he was alone, living in a homeless shelter. Serge watched "The Golden Girls" on the shelter's "crappy TV" from three to five in the morning every day. He claims the show kept him company and inspired him to start his own family.

Frenchie is the smartest member of the group, with a wide range of skills and abilities. He's capable of making various chemicals from scrap materials, bombs, and grenades, and has connections to buy weapons, among other talents. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and baking, as his mother often cooked and invited him to her. "Cooking is like a safe haven in a storm," he told Kimiko on the roof.

According to Frenchie, he remembers the face of every person he's killed, and these memories likely haunt him.

Expert Marksman: As an arms dealer, Frenchy is skilled in the use of firearms. Experienced Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Frenchy possesses some skill in combat, as demonstrated when he comes face-to-face with Mother's Milk at the mall. Intelligence: Frenchy is a skilled chemical engineer, having developed sniper rifle bullets coated with the same carbon metamaterial that coats the skin of the Translucent. However, the bullet failed to penetrate his skin. Experienced Researcher: Frenchy deduced that Kimiko was trying to get home, allowing the Boys to track her down. Multilingualism: Frenchie speaks his native French in addition to English. His relationship with Kimiko allowed him to interpret and learn Kimiko's sign language. Stealth: Frenchie managed to enter the Express's locker room undetected through the air vents. Expert Thief: Frenchie can pick a lock with anything; he used the metal wire in Huey's lock to escape from prison.
