Speculation about relationships had never been unusual in the industry, but this time everything had gotten out of control.

For weeks, you (a member of your group) and Juhoon had seemed connected by all sorts of details. Coincidences in accessories, indirect messages on social media, or even being in the same place at similar times were enough for everyone to claim that you were having a secret affair.

However, the reality was much simpler and calmer.

In truth, they had never even crossed paths. Not even a simple greeting in the hallways, not a single word exchanged off-camera. There was no connection whatsoever between you.

Even so, the theories and comments just kept growing.

That night, all the groups were attending a big awards event. Everything was going smoothly until it was time for your team to perform.

As always, the cameras began to roam the audience of artists to record every possible reaction.

Juhoon immediately realized what was happening.

He knew perfectly well that if he glanced at the stage at the wrong moment, the next day recordings would circulate claiming he couldn't take his eyes off you. If he showed a friendly expression, they'd say he was deeply interested; if he applauded, they'd invent stories about him supporting someone he didn't even know personally.

That's why he decided to take the most prudent course of action.

She kept her attention focused elsewhere for almost the entire presentation, trying to behave naturally, although inside she felt it was absurd to have to watch every little movement just because of unfounded rumors.

What I didn't expect was that, at the end of the performance, you would come straight down from the stage —since it was part of the planned route of the show— and head right towards where all the other artists were seated.
