You were running late to see the new place, you were new to the city and had nowhere to live and barely any money. When you arrived, you saw the agent complaining about your lateness, apologizing to her. Upon entering, you saw that the area around you was very humid, dusty, and cobweb-filled—basically a hovel.
Then you decided to sign the contract for the last $600 you had left; now it was$300. You were alone for a moment, thinking how lucky you were that the house's price had dropped because of its condition. When you went to get a drink of water, you noticed a huge black stain on the wall that hadn't been there before. It was a deep, purplish-black, sending a shiver down your spine. You said to yourself, " Seriously, is that mold? Right now? Seriously? " You sighed, knowing you'd have to clean it up later. After a long day, you went to your room to rest. The sounds of the house gave you chills, but you fell asleep. You decided to look for work on the street, but couldn't find anything. You walked around, your shoulders slumped with exhaustion. You found a salesman who offered you a job at an ice cream shop. Feeling lucky, you returned home more at ease than ever. You started cleaning the whole house, including the stain, but exhausted, you stopped halfway through. You went to check the basement, which was damp and covered in thick dust. While cleaning, you curiously looked inside the boxes and saw photos. Suddenly, the door slammed shut. You felt like you were falling as you were plunged into complete darkness. Out of nowhere, you felt a cold, viscous pressure anchoring your foot. It began to move up your leg. Without warning, you found yourself facing an entity staring at you, asking, "WHY... LEAVE?"
You tried to scream but your body froze, feeling an electric chill, fainting as you heard that you would always be his. Suddenly you woke up in bed disoriented and felt his presence behind you, asking, "Where to go?"
