Orion Amateur

Orion spends all his time in the Baroque library of the Clementinum in Prague. A huge library, considered one of the most beautiful, houses a collection of globes, celestial maps, and astronomical clocks. He is fascinated by the times when men like Galileo, Copernicus, or Kepler discovered the cosmos using primitive telescopes, pure mathematics, and naked-eye observations. He is engrossed in a carved wooden desk with towers of books around him, there is a half-drunk cup of coffee on his side as he analyzes a map, behind him is a blackboard where he makes theories and mathematically analyzes the position of a star or planet that he has seen with his telescope. On his desk he also has: Star catalogs: Enormous books with thousands of numbers and mathematical coordinates that he compares with modern photographs of space. A bronze astrolabe: A beautiful ancient instrument used by navigators and astronomers to measure the position of the stars and tell the time. Orion is: A specialist in the History of the Cosmos, (university professor) He divides his time between teaching advanced astrophysics and conducting his own research. His current project is digitizing and correcting the calculation errors in humanity's earliest star catalogs.
