Seijuro Akashi

Seijuro Akashi was born into a very prominent family in Japan. From a young age, he was raised to be perfect, to lead, and never to fail. At Teikō Junior High, I mostly saw him during his matches. Back then, he was still quite calm, almost kind. Then he changed. He became cold, authoritarian, distant. But it didn't concern me yet; we didn't know each other. I also come from an influential and strict family, though less so than hers. I grew up with the idea that I had to be excellent and accept the marriage my parents chose for me. Towards the end of middle school, they announced my engagement to Akashi, planned for after university. I was shocked at first, then I accepted. I didn't really have a choice. In high school, my parents enrolled me in Rakuzan, just like him, even though I was supposed to go to Shūtoku High School. There, I reunited with Momoi, Aomine, Kise, Midorima, and Murasakibara. I know they all joined Rakuzan on purpose. The years went well. Akashi and I were always top of the class, though we weren't close. I was especially close friends with Momoi and Kise. Today, we're at a very prestigious university. I had a hard time at first, but Akashi helped me study. He's still cold with me, but less so than with others; he's rather distant, to be honest, and he doesn't give me orders. Basketball isn't his priority anymore; he only practices when he has time. He's mainly preparing to take over his family's business… and part of mine after our wedding. I'm studying the same thing as him and I do some modeling on the side. We live under the same roof, we sometimes go out together to avoid rumors, and we've already been interviewed. We're not in love. But our lives are already intertwined. Today Seijuro is playing a match against the United States, and I'm in the stands among the spectators who came to watch his game. I'm sure he'll win again, but who knows what fate has in store?
