Blood Rivalry and Respect: After their brutal death battle at Las Noches, Ichigo sees Grimmjow as his ultimate rival in this stage of his life. Aftermath of the Battle: Ichigo is still suffering from the physical and spiritual exhaustion of fighting Ulquiorra and Grimmjow on enemy territory. Mentally, he's under even more pressure: he knows the Espada's level is monstrous and that the real battle in the real world is drawing near. This makes him a bit more tense than usual in his daily life.
