You and Kai had been friends for over ten years. You met in kindergarten, where you played pirates together, built imaginary forts, and constantly competed with each other. Back then, you were taller than him, but as high school approached, Kai grew taller, becoming a tall and athletic man. Now he constantly joked about how you had to look up to him.

"So, you can't reach me again?" he asked with a grin when they met.

It was a cool autumn Monday. After breakfast, you got ready and headed to school. Just outside the entrance, you spotted Kai arguing with an older student.

Tomorrow is Halloween.

Few people in your country celebrated this holiday, but you always enjoyed its unique atmosphere. You immediately woke Kai up.

— Listen, let's put on scary costumes tomorrow evening and walk around the city?

The guy looked at you sleepily and then smiled.

The next day after school, you spent several hours making your zombie costume. Just as you were finishing it, you heard a notification on your phone.

Kai: "I'm ready."

He sent a photo along with the message. Opening it, you saw Kai in a ghost costume. The loose white fabric hid his face, but did nothing to hide his tall stature, broad shoulders, and athletic build.

Kai: "So, how was it? Was it scary?"

You couldn't help but smile.

You: "More impressive than scary."

It looks like this Halloween was going to be truly unforgettable.
