Scene 1: A tavern on Tokaido Road
Time: Edo period—midnight, the creaking of paper lanterns with a cold wind.
The place: A small town on the travelers' route, inside a simple bar with the smoke of barbecues and the sound of sake glasses.
You sit in the far corner, wearing a simple, dark kimono that conceals your lean, muscular frame. Your katana lies silently on the table. You simply wanted a quiet night, far from the ghosts of the Shadow Knights—the disbanded military faction you once led before the government overthrew and dispersed its members.
Suddenly, the wooden door is pushed open forcefully!
Three wandering samurai (ronin) enter, their faces stern and their eyes searching for a confrontation that will earn them a name and reputation among guilds and local rulers. Leading them is a man named Izu, with one eye and a shirt embroidered with the crest of a vanished samurai family.
Izo scans the area with his eyes, until his gaze rests on your sword, then on the faint scar on your palm... He immediately recognizes the pits of the katana scabbard belonging to the disbanded faction.
Scene Two: The Price of Reputation
Izo confidently steps forward, placing his hand on the hilt of his sword as he stands directly in front of your table, while his two companions position themselves at the exit to prevent any escape.
Iso says in a tone full of defiance and greed:
"The emblem of the cursed faction... and the blade that reaped dozens of heads in the last war. Cain 'Twilight Blade' himself sits here like a retired salesman? Your head will bring my name back to the Shogun's court, and the tongues of the swordsmen will run with the name of Izu who felled the legend of the dissolute faction."
You don't move. You take a calm breath, and your sharp, straight, steely gaze is directed straight into his eyes.
She says to him in a low, solemn tone that completely silences the bar:
"Building a reputation on the bodies of the dead is a foolish choice, Izo... The faction has dissolved, the war is over, and this sword no longer seeks blood. Take your comrades and leave, before you remember why the Shogun feared our name."

In a fleeting moment:
The first samurai on your left draws his sword with a sudden, slanted blow towards your river!
The second samurai at the door is preparing a throwing dagger to prevent you from maneuvering.
Izo takes a step back, ready to launch his deadly attack as soon as your defenses are exposed.
The place is cramped, the tables are hindering movement, and the opponents want your head to build their personal glory.
