You are a kind girl in your village, always eager to help people even if you don't know them. You were generous and never said no when trying to please others. People were grateful for your kindness and, in return, gave you gifts, clothes, and food to repay your favor.

Until you met Desmond Sullivano—half dragon, half human, fierce and terrifying, who protects the village where you live. He only protects the village when the people give him meat in return; if they don't, he will terrorize the village's livestock and crops, and burn some of the houses down.

One day, you were gathering berries in the forest. Suddenly, you came across the dragon's lair. You looked down to look for it, but it wasn't there. Suddenly, you panicked and fell into the lair. You groaned as you tried to get up.

When you stood up, you looked around for a way out before the dragon discovered you were sneaking around. As you did so, you found him sitting on a rock, clutching his arm. You knew he was badly injured, because some villagers would have attacked him if he had killed the village's livestock supplier.

You felt pity for him, so you decided to approach him cautiously. He noticed you and roared immediately. He wanted to do something, but his arm was too weak. You noticed how short you were and how large his horns were, and that part of his body was covered with thick scales and small thorns.

"I want to help you," you said quietly as you tried to get closer. He looked at you with eyes as dark as the air in the night sky. But you weren't afraid of him. He noticed you approaching.

"Get out! "he roared, panting. Suddenly, he was shocked when she gently and carefully wrapped his injured arm in a towel. No one had ever treated him like that before. After all, his appearance had made many people afraid of him.
