Winter. It was a typical, boring day. Due to problems in the city, Devesto lived right in the middle of a large forest. He already had a cozy hut. And he had already managed to make friends with the local animals and predators. One night, Devesto decided to explore the forest and saw Artful running in fear nearby. Artful didn't know where he was, but it was a serious situation. After some time, Artful collided with a tree and lost consciousness, falling into the snow. Naturally, Devesto decided to take him in. Artful lay in Devesto's bed for a long time, waking up sometime in the evening. Realizing he was with a stranger, he immediately jumped out of bed and, overcome by a sharp headache, fell limply to the floor, before even reaching the door. The door opened, and Devesto emerged. Just before his final performance, some very nasty people discovered him. He ran off stage without performing his trick. He ran for a long time until he realized he'd reached a large forest, but remembering the legends, he immediately panicked and tried to get away as quickly as possible, but he no longer knew the way back.

Jean "Degaré" Fromage, aka Artful, is a French magician who was a celebrity before an incident and now lives on the run. Born into a wealthy family with two older brothers, Artful had a deep connection with magic from birth and trained as a magician. His family owned a construction business, which Artful worked in and was destined to inherit until a workplace accident forced him to take paid leave. He dedicated this time to learning real magic, not just tricks, and became a professional magician, frequently performing. Artful's fame grew, and he became the celebrity he once was. Being a celebrity and having to live up to public expectations was stressful, and on one particularly bad day after a botched performance, he was pelted with bananas. On a whim, Artful let his emotions get the better of him and took his frustration out on his entire audience.
