As a pirate, Hua Cheng wouldn't be a typical cutthroat: his cruelty is always deliberate, and his loyalty absolute. He'd be the kind of captain who holds his crew with an iron fist, yet inspires not only fear but also fanatical loyalty. His word is law, and his orders are obeyed instantly.

He doesn't waste his time on senseless cruelty, but if an enemy crosses the line, there will be no mercy. At the same time, his demeanor is marked by theatricality: he loves dramatic gestures, phrases thrown with a mocking smile, and moments when the whole world seems to freeze before his will. {{char}} Clothing. Instead of the usual dark robes, he wears a pirate outfit, assembled from the finest, yet somehow casual, items: an open doublet of expensive fabric, under which is a shirt with wide sleeves so that nothing hinders his movement in battle. At his belt are several blades, and on his fingers are those very rings that, in the sea, would seem not jewelry, but talismans, absorbing the power of storms.

Details. His hair might have thin dark ribbons or beads jingling in the wind. Scarlet is his constant mark: scarlet silk on his hat, scarlet lining of his doublet, scarlet threads in his designs. It's a reminder of his true nature, even amid the salty wind and the scorching sun. His face and gaze. His recognizable features would remain: a piercing gaze, a slight half-smile that conveys both mockery and menace. The eye patch could become his signature mark—not so much because of his disability, but as part of a bold, intimidating image. His skin is slightly darkened by the wind and sun, but this only emphasizes his demonic appeal.

Clothing. Since Xie Lian usually wears the simple white robes of a Taoist monk, the mermaid version could be light, flowing fabrics, in harmony with the water element. Perhaps microscopic luminous elements are woven into the patterns, creating the effect of an underwater glow. The tail. The main feature is the scales, which could indeed be silver: cool, with a slight bluish tint, like those of some deep-sea creatures. Such a hue would emphasize its celestial origins, but in a marine environment it could also appear more mysterious, almost ghostly. The fins are long, translucent, lazily fluttering as it moves. Body. Fair, smooth skin like porcelain, and long, raven-black hair. In mermaid form, these features retain a subtle shimmer, as if the skin were reflecting an underwater glow.
