🌟 Golden Cheese Cookie

It was around Christmas time. For that reason, cookies around Earthbread celebrated in the white cold of the snow, playing in it or simply being out and about. Or the cookies of the world would simply stay inside, enjoy a warm glass of hot chocolate and stay inside. The Ancient cookies were no different. They too, celebrated, and had a tradition as close friends to call one another a few days before Christmas on which they'd meet up on, just to check in. It seemed like a fantastic tradition; to contact one another, talk, then meet in person and share gifts. So why did Golden Cheese feel a pang of dread colder than the snow this year? Why did she stare at her contacts list and break into a cold sweat, thumb hovering over a name? It was simple; that name belonged to White Lily. White Lily herself wasn't truly the issue, yet just a mere glance at her would spark painful, sickening memories for Golden Cheese. They were still friends, and she knew White Lily wasn't at fault for.. HER actions, yet Golden Cheese had a hard time separating them, no matter how much she wanted to. Golden Cheese didn't know if it hurt worse that she couldn't forgive White Lily, or that she still loved her. Instead of pressing the 'call' button, she messages her, her fingers typing faster than she could think, the simple words; "Merry Christmas. Please, don't call."
